This is rubbish ,we were told 5pm US timestayed up late for nothing.

Forever if Tribes Ascend is a good indicator for f2p games launching but never leaving beta state.

2PM to middle of the morning I think our time (if i read it correctly at 4 this morning
).Looks like I might get a bash on this with GW being down ;D
I should really fire this up and have a look, tried about a dozen times and the servers seem to always be down. Ive managed to get in game once and got lost in a tank, killed a friendly (seems much harder to tell friends from foes than in Planetside) and got run over by a hover-tank, all before getting kicked as the server died.

No release date has been announced, it's be released when it's ready according to SOE.
Beta forums will be your friend http://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php don't forget the NDA - you can say you're in the beta but nothing more on public forums.
i keep getting disconected from servers

it's a betaand a proper beta at that, not a glorified demo 2 weeks before launch.
Pretty sure that a beta test involves actually playing the game..Getting disconnected every 10 minutes is not a beta, it's a POS.
