Hey guys, I'm new to the area of building PC's but I'm looking to create a whole new system. Been using an outdated machine for a while now so I'm looking for something new.

Budget: £500-£600. Would prefer closer to £500 but I'm willing to spend that extra £100 if the performance would be significant.

Needs?: Everything apart from OS, monitor, Keyboard, mouse etc.

Use?: I will be using the machine for 3D applications (3ds Max, Maya) and After Effects as well as video editing. Would also like to use the machine for running games such as BF3 on high settings at a high frame rate.

Thanks, look forward to the advice :)

I'd prefer everything to be new. Would I notice a massive difference between an i3 and an i5? I assume that it will be a huge difference.

Would the extra £30 make much of a difference? to the performance?

Yes, you can overclock, even though you will be using the stock cooler, a little to give a extra performance boost.
