people who pre-purchased or pre-ordered put in the serial code to allow them to play for the 1 or 3 day headstart. when your headstart is over, ( which i think is today) you have to put in your retail code to continue play. just think of the pre-purchase and pre-order as a temporary code

There's a vendor in NW Lion's Arch, the caves area that will give you one for free.

Ah I get it now. Read around and it seems you have to make sure you register the retail key within 5 days. Seeing as prepurchased was 5 days ago, that would make sense now as to why I was able to log on yesterday but not today. Many thanks.
 
Lag in WvWvW was terrible today. So bad I could not use melee weapons at all. Moving targets resulted in nothing but misses as they were never where they appeared on screen.

Infuriating :/

Bought the game this afternoon, been playing it past couple of hours and I can see myself really enjoying this and getting really involved (taking over my life). I found the controls a bit clunky at first but getting used to everything slowly (not been a big mmo player in the past).

This annoys me greatly in MMOs, masses of people did this in swtor (and other games) and gained an advantage and never got permanently banned and now we're seeing it in GW2.

Agree people wanna glitch and cheat in a game, which that is exactly what he was doing deserves a ban.

I think that's the main reason I'm taking it slow, with WoW and paying a monthly sub, i felt i would be wasting money not playing as much as i could. Where as GW2 i have all the time i want and no expectation to play everyday. Its dam refreshing, just hope the feeling can last till the higher levels.

same here, im loving GW2 but im not gonna rush it
 
Does desolation look like the go to server for someone who wants a high activity world? Or is there any other suggestions? Don't want any EU servers with mainly polish speakers or whatever haha

Is there a class which is very common/least common, or any noticeably OP classes?

I've been reading and watching gameplay videos and still can't decide, as I can't help but compare them to WoW classes, such as the ranger > hunter. Which is slightly offputting!
