A whole new concept in 'spec me' threads.... bridesmaid dress please

I never!

You just take your place at the back of the queue sweetheart :p

Lucy Bee, I hope you are taking that chiselled stud Arek to the big day. Also, I always thought it was unfair to make all bridesmaids wear the same dress as, inevitably, while at least one will look great in the choice, at least one other will assume the appearance of a chocoholic caterpillar.

Whenever someone brings up the subject of bridesmaid dresses I always think of what my mother had to go through when her future sister in-law chose her to be one.

Try to picture little bo peep / old fashioned maid complete with hat and under the chin tie up, white pinny and sky blue dress.

Makes for a hilarious photo.

I'm sure I'll still be around if you want to borrow it :).

Just to disappoint everyone wanting their dates with Lucy, I'm pretty sure she said she was into women rather than men...

Mind you, that might give Nite a chance... ;)

I can literally stare at that anna tousled hair gif all day long...

Anyway, back on topic:

So far I'm thinking that it might be best to get a dress that has a detachable shoulder strap or halter neck of some kind?

Means each of the girls can choose what they want to do strap wise, and depending how comfortable you are with your boobs at the time depends on which option you yourself could go for?

Also, post OP GD wants photos in picture of yourself thread :p

Pah, Arek!

He can't even be bothered to reply to my emails.... I can't think why ;-)

As for the dresses, I have a very good dressmakers near to me who has altered a lot of my stuff over the years. My cousin and I decided that all the bridesmaids would have the same dress, so we'll order them in our relevant sizes then take them to altered to make sure they fit as well as possible :)

:D

It's quite obviously far from a conventional wedding anyway - and white is just so.... white.

yeah... but green!

Cream would have been fine, even pink is a bit :S but gaining popularity.. but GREEN?!

Mind you emerald green bridesmaids dresses could be lovely if there's a ginger bridesmaid xD

Surely this is the king of all green dresses though?

KD, you know far too much about this! ;)

If I ever decide to get my cross-dress on, I'ma coming to you for advice.

There is a redhead, in fact there's a redhead, a brunette, a blonde and whatever I decide I'm going to be that week :) so a bit of everything!

Tbh I was a little dubious about the green theme but she's picked her dress and it looks stunning on her (she's a genuine fiery redhead too :)) so its up to me to make sure I get it right for the rest of us.

I like that backless dress, I like it a lot but its out for me, needs some genuine waist-hip definition to be able to pull it off :(
