I pity the fool that doesn't update his graphics drivers and crossfire caps!

Hey folks, does anyone know what 3D depth and 3D convergance is? Is it to do with 3D displays/glasses etc and shouldnt worry about it?

Wierdest thing... Ive gone from a 6950 to a 7950... and I cant help but feel for some reason the game is actually running more slower than before... I am not sure what it is....

Any reports of issues with using a 7950 with this game?

in the demo with a gtx 690 at stock clocks i get 30 fps on the start area with all on max. @ around 75-80 % gpu usage

funnily enough when i turn extreme AA to high (second from top) it goes right back to 60 fps vsync cap and stays there :S

smacks of some lack of optimisation for nvidia cards

The extreme preset aa is said to benefit from compute power in which the new nvidia cards are lacking in when compared to amd. Link below shows the huge difference in performance.

I am struggling to average more than around 45-50 fps with 7970's in x-fire, that is with AA turned down a notch to high too.

For some reason it says my second card usage is next to nothing. The graphics are great though, just need to make both cards work better. I know both cards work ok and crossfire is enabled as I ran a 3dmark11 benchmark earlier.

Oh and I have the latest non beta driver with latest cap too. I read on another forum someone else was having a similar issue.

yeah.. kind of suspect. why do your AA using that when there are far better ways (for nvidia cards) me thinks ATi foul play is afoot. oh well :)

I don't think Nvidia can take the moral high ground regarding this.

Just look at Nvidia's own 'the way its meant to be played'. Its just the same thing. Spending more time optimizing a game, tweaking code with the devs so that it runs better on your hardware.

Bf3 is a decent example. Took AMD a long time to crack the code that gimped aa performance on their cards. Now they win those benchmarks, before though the Nvidia cards cleaned up where as performance took a huge hit with aa enabled on all AMD cards.

They don't win on the BF3 benchmarks Matt. Allbeit a hell of a lot closer now.

Well, they won on that 'infamous' benchmark everyone keeps posting. The HardOCP one with the 660vs670vs7950.

Has there been any recent benchmark reviews with all the latest drivers aside from the one i mentioned? I bet its really close now which is some achievement compared to how far behind they were during release.

id still take nv every day of the week. for i am a fanboy and actually have zero desire to have any ati near my pc. (from past experiences with drivers etc) which despite what people say, is still happening with new games and the ati/fan excuses such as. oh that benchmark is with the old drivers, there will be better ones out soon blah blah. well yes but as this happens all the time with a lot of new releases..

as such, ill take the hit on this one game :)

The 1080p review the 670 is actually faster. :p

Agree regarding the performance increase. Shame it took so long but good they're now firing on all cylinders.

Sorry, just can't take you seriously after a post like that.

Moving on.

I wish both sides would stop trying to get the upper hand this way.

Devs should work equally with both sides to provide the best performance possible for both sides as we're all gamers and we all stand to benefit.

People with still go with their favorite choice.

that's all i said.

but look at what people say, making excuses and saying the new drivers fix this and that.. doesn't happen nearly as much as with nvidia.

sick of people just comparing the price of the cards without looking further
