Guild Wars 2

Guys, in case any of you have been as much of a tool as I have, get this.

We're all desperate for Jute right? And keep hoping for Jute scrap pick ups in those little bags enemies drop.

I didn't realise until last night (I'm level 28) that you can salvage Ragged Garments with a salvage kit to get Jute scraps!!

I thought salvage kits only worked on weapons, armour and jewles etc. I didn't realise so many of the scrap items you pick up could be salvaged, I always sold them. Dam!

I salvage everything up to green tier loot, if the bank is full, stash stuff on an alt.

5 character slots = 25 inventory bags.

I'm still stuck on 25 tailor, only because I'm waiting till I have enough mats to level it to anywhere decent, and green armor is cheap enough on the TP so I dont need to craft much other than jewelry till level 80. I got 150 JC though at level 48.

Can someone tell me mats needed for 1h sword, 2h sword and focus, level 80 exotic.

Thanks.

The insignias required to create 1h and 2h swords

5xGlob of Ectoplasm
5x(rare materials, powerful blood, vicious claw etc)
5xOrichalcum Plated Dowel's (15xOrichalcum Ingot, 10xAncient Wooden Plank)

6XOrichalcum Ingot

Typical cost for such an item is around 3.5-4.5g if you purchase the mats from the trade post.

check AV or something similar isn't interfering with the guild wars two folder that's in your c:\ profile area. varies from OS to OS but there's a GW2 folder there that it uses as cache whilst downloading.

Wouldn't happen to be anything to do with having GW2 on my ssd and my os on my hdd would it?

Anyone else playing Necro?

I'm up to 16 and quite enjoying it but not sure it's for me. The lack of CC really becomes apparent when you stand toe to toe with some monster warrior with a big 2h sword :p

Its definitely better to do Jeweling + your professions armor craft rather than a weapon + armor craft. The stuff you can make with jeweling + armor crafting is just sick, and they dont share resources past T1.

Even better if you can is to put jeweling on a light armor profession along with tailoring, as they use completely different materials at all tiers, and then use this character to feed jewels to your alts, and IMO put cooking on your second character class along with another armor or weapon craft.

im debating to change my character to do jeweling (currently a necro doing light (level 64) armour and artificing(level 70) ) but i have another character that is a jeweler and leather worker do you think its worth just carrying on with my professions and just use my alt to supply my jewls through depositing in the bank and collecting with my other charcter(noticed you cant send things through the post to your charcters) or would it be worth changing?

i suppose stopping now would be a right waste of the levelling i have already done, would it be better to do cooking with my alt so to do jewling and cooking? or would it be worthwhile just creating another to do cooking and say weaponsmith? i collect everything.:D

yeah i play necro (level 29) love the class it's a lot of fun love switching between staff aoe's to scepeter and dagger to finish off.

its a class where dodging and a lot of moving i believe is crucial and use of death shroud and healing keep you alive

My main is a necro, level 30 now :)

Finding it quite enjoyable, tending to use scepter for PvE and staff for WvW

Just managed to finish a story mission before the maintenance kicked in, record timing too; Got my XP and then bam, update :D.

Caved and bought and ogre bag too as I needed the space.

I loved this game to start out but after 70 hours of play and reaching level 50 I'm burnt out and feel very little reward. Everything in the games costs a fortune, the dungeons are insanely difficult and crafting is a grind all in it's self.

I also fin the combat a bit lacking compared to GW1, there are just too few skills, at least allow the player to swap weapons during combat in order to have access to more skills, that would be cool.

Don't get me wrong I love the art direction, level design and characters etc but it's just not doing it for me any more I miss the structured co-op missions from the original.

P.S If anyone has a link to a tailoring guide I'd be grateful, I really want some cool looking armour for my Elementalist.

Cheers:)

You can swap weapons with the tilde key? It just has a cool down timer during combat before you can switch back.

Started PvPing properly. It's going to be a lot less frustrating when people get a clue, hopefully after a few days/weeks.

The amount of times I've been downed and someone I KNOW has a knock down/back etc has just let an enemy finish me off is absurd.

I think most people noticed that the scraps have "Salvage Item" written on them. Subtle, I know.

Thats all well and good... But you can't mail items to your alts...

So how are you getting around that?
