Guild Wars 2

Is there an OCUK guild?

No.

Look at the first page there are a few guilds listed there with a lot of OCUK members.

Been off work ill today so decided to get some quality GW2 time in, got from 16 up to 25 :D Had some amazing wvw battles and 100% another zone, got a much better feal for the Necro and generally had the best time I have had in game yet :) Regretting playing Azura a little as they don't show off the gear that well, oh well :p

Anyone else have the scrap metal quest bugged for the Flame Legion Battle side quest for Savor Foulnight in the Diessa Plateau? The event simply wont trigger...

Got a guildy to craft me a set of full exotic armour this morning, on top of some new exotic weapons and new rare jewellery from WvW (can't afford better right now). Got it all runed up surprisingly cheaply as well.

It's amazing what a difference it's made, I'm easily handling large numbers of mobs in Orr without issue (as a Thief). Used to struggle with 2 of the level 80 mobs, I took on 4 earlier and barely even moved throughout the fight.

I've got up to level 250 in armorsmithery - now I've hit the wall in fine components, so I'll actually have to go out and kill stuff in higher levelled areas.

Crafted my first 15 slot box last night, plenty of room for crafting crap now :)

This is probably a daft question, but .....

How do you search for people in a guild while in game? Trying to find people online in Immortals for an invite?

I really wish they would raise the caps for WvW. The whole point of having 3 sides is that if one side has more players then the other two can work together to balance it out. At the moment all 3 sides have the maximum amount of players and ruins the fun for both those who are in the WvW area and those stuck in a queue for it..

Hi,

Im not sure if i can write this here or i have to do it in the market, but i have a copy that i bought in january and forgot to cancel so if anyone is after a copy for £35 drop me an email, its a standard hard copy.

Does Engineer get any better, I am currently Level 23 and I am finding it a little boring, takes an age for turrets to cool down etc.

I've played an engineer specced into condition damage with dual pistols, and it has been a lot of fun all the way through (I'm level 79, should be 80 tomorrow). Maybe try ditching the turrets or if you don't want to do that try another class.

I discovered a nice build for my ele to use in dungeons with a staff - 20 fire, 20 air, 30 water:

- Spell Slinger (3 stacks of might from cantrips) + Pyromancers Alacrity (20% faster fire spell regen).

- Quick Glyphs + Inscription air perks (20% faster and double boons from Glyph of Elemental Harmony)

- Aquamancers Alacrity + Cantrip Mastery + Soothing disruption - Water weapon skills + Cantrips recharge 20% faster, Vigor + Regeneration from Cantrips.

Skills to equip - Glyph of Elemental Harmony, Mist Form, Armor of Earth, and either Cleansing Fire or arcane shield if needed. I use Avatar of Melandru for my elite in dungeons.

How to use:

1) Each cantrip gives you 3 stacks of might, 1 regeneration, 1 vigor (more damage and health + endurance regen).

2) Glyph of Elemental Harmony gives 2 stacks of might in fire attunement, or 20s of regeneration in water attunement on a 20s recharge.

3) Water heals, Fire AoEs, and Cantrips recharge 20% faster, Water blast should do a high amount of splash healing on melees near your target.

4) Swap between fire and water to drop down damage and heals on recharge. You also deal Pbaoe damage when attuning to fire, though its not much, and healing ripple when attuning to Water along with permanent health regen ticks from soothing mist and near permanent regeneration from the Air magic perks.

5) Click on Cleansing Fire after attuning to fire for the triple might stack, regeneration and vigor, and drop down your AoEs. Save Mist Form and Armor of Earth for emergency moments, these now become godly 'Oh ****' buttons, save your life a lot and give you regeneration + vigor too.

5) If you die jump to a waypoint, swap to Air attunement, use glyph for a 20s swiftness to get back, though you should no longer be dying anywhere near as much now with this build.

6) Ideally you want Power + Vitality + Healing gear, though I'm not sure where to get this or if it exists yet (Priory armor is precision + vitality + healing which is just a completely terrible combo). You get a significant damage boost from all the stacks of might you can get through the perks so there shouldnt be any DPS problems here.

7) Use Glyph + 20s Regeneration while in water attunement along with the soothing mist passive for much higher survivability (regens health astonishingly fast for 20s).

Yummy, healy, nukey + far less squishy dungeon ele.

Crafting question: my asura thief is only level 22 at the moment and I've done zero crafting because I don't see the point in it - I prefer to pick up things in the field and use them (bit more excitement of discovery). Will this approach cause problems at higher level, as in I need to be proficient at crafting something or risk gimping my character?

Crafting is the easiest way to get exotic armor + weapons, but an even easier way is to save up the required materials and a generous tip and find a maxed crafter to make it for you if you have no interest in crafting.

Just whisper Dist, Blounty, Sengar, Tears Fade, Oberyn, Lainia, or Nemeses
