Definitely an improvement, shame that discovery doesn't work like this but I'm sure they'll update that to work like this too.
I really need to start leveling again at some point. Made an Ele and got bored of it a couple of days after launch in the 40's and been playing Guardian in tournies ever since, it's still level 2

my bro has the same spec and its fine at 1680x1050 no shadows though most settings on medium ;O
So I've finally got round to trying to log in, now just trying to decide which server to join. Desolation (currently showing high pop) or Gunnar's Hold (currently medium pop) or maybe Aurora Glade (currently high pop).
I really like pvp'n but will only get at most 2 or 3 hours to play at a time, so queue times of 2-3+ hours for wvwvw aren't really much use. But ofcourse I want a server with a decent pop/community.
Any other old neocron players out there? (the community was a big part of that game for me tbh, and most other games actually now that I think about it as I usually end up in fun friendly guilds, like I did in RFO, WAR and Rift)

Que for WvWvW, seem to have settled a lil bit got in easier last 2 days. (desolution, that is)
Community is always what makes it in mmo games for me at the end of the day, we slowly gelling with all the new players in, not anywhere near where we need to be, but we heading the right direction.

Could you explain this further? Are you saying you can infact join friends in Scenario PvP and be on the same team as opposed to being put on random sides with friends?
This also I believe costs 100g, do you and everyone who wishes to join you need the Commander item/use it or just one of you?
Still loving this game, such good fun. Got involved in a massive war against the centaurs in Gendarran Fields for a bout 2 hours. Non stop assaults on this town then pushed them back to their fort and we were destroying their fortifications. In between I was saving the soldiers and rescuing the prisoners.

You don't need to commander badge to try and join friends in pvp, as long as they are on your friends list right click and join to do that.
The commander badge is to command the WvWvW fights, it gives them an overview of everyone on their team so they can plan attacks etc. It's at 100g otherwise everyone would have it, so only the few that really want it get it.
quick question the game has been out for now 11 days how many hours does it take to get to 80 considering we sleep for 8 work for 12 hours leaving from 6-10 pm pm to play?
Also played the midget azura race today and hated it.... can't even understand what to do all robots look the same lol.

I did it in 80 hours but I wasn't really rushing it.
Depending how hard you go at it, probably a few weeks to a couple of months?
Apparrently I've been playing my asura thief for 33 hours over the last 2 weeks, and I'm only level 23.
In hours played probably on average 50 hours? My second character only took 33 hours (~4 hours afk logged in, so around 28 hours) no idea how long first 80 took though
At the rate i'm going 2 years, i start out each session with good intentions of leveling and end up spending hours in tournaments instead.
