Guild Wars 2

This really is a digusting thread isn't it, inbetween inter guild bickering it's full of a load of jumped up fanbois posting some pretty disgusting things when someone posts to say they've completed the game and are moving on.

The issue is that you aren't "moving on". You linger about the thread moaning about the game on multiple occasions. Moving on would mean actually "moving on" from the game and turning your attention elsewhere. Personally I don't care if you have decided to move on. That is fair enough and your call. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things. But I tire of the moaning. You don't like the game. We get it. We do, so deal with it.

In reality I have never understood "I quit" posts or threads. I am seen plenty during my time playing various MMO games and have never seen the point of publicly announcing it. When I decide to move on I inform the people who matter i.e. my guild mates, or online friends who I play with.

TWvWvW is just a MASSIVE zerg, with no organisation. You very rarely get good fights and if this is the extent of there "here is what you do at 80" then oh dear.

Are you playing as part of a PUG or guild? I've yet to experience any game with open pvp to be anything but a ZERG when in a PUG raid.

Grab yourself a guild and group up. I think you will have more fun if you don't like zerg vs zerg:)

While i completely agree with you, getting into WvWvW solo is a 3 hour + long affair, organising a guild with or without the commanders badge will take you nearly all day to get enough people in there.

:(

I have a question about the Sever PvP, I am trying to get myself some decent looking PvP gear. I am using the chests/salvaging kits and the fountain.

Does the appearance go on your ranking? And they change for the higher vendors.

Also how do the tournaments work?

Hi all,

Just got into this in the last week or so - is there a guild running on desolation I can tie up with?? Currently a lvl13 (i think) thief

Been level 80 on my warrior now since the end of headstart and still loving the game, the explorable mode dungeons are hard but once you've done them once become so much easier.

AC explorable mode is a doddle to do now, the only one I struggle with is Arah, the mid dungeon boss is an absolute nightmare to kill as he does insane AoE damage that hits for 13k on a regular basis and also does a random ranged attack for 8k. Get both and your going down fast.

I'm now rocking full level 80 exotics and have since switched to a condition based DW setup using sword/sword and longbow.

25 stacks of bleed hitting for 114 dmg a tick drops anything very very quickly. Far faster than Greatsword's burst.

My main prob is I cannot stick with one char :p I keep swapping around to see what other race starting zones look like and also to try out new classes.

I really need to focus on one char ! So far my fav has been a Charr Thief :D But I think I want to try out a warrior tho. Maybe I should just stick to my Thief though and get a least one of my toons past level 12 haha.

The starting zones are great now but I think someone mentioned it here. Them starting areas are going to be horrible in a few months when there are not as many people playing new chars.

Someone in my guild said there's not much to do at lvl 80 PVE wise, a couple of extra dungeons + an repeatable event area? Is this true?

How are people's characters at such high levels? :p I have been playing quite a lot (for me), and just at level twenty. People that have got to level eighty... Have you been doing nothing else since the game came out?

There's plenty to do,

8 dungeons, each with 3/4 explorable modes. These are done to get tokens for level 80 exotic gear that look awesome.

There's crafting, WvW and dynamic events in Orr and Frostsound Gorge, and of course you aim for 100% completion on all areas.

I think this game should not be power leveled. It happens all the time they fly through it and then complain about not having anything else to do.

I play this game at least 5 hours a night, Also I have had 1 week off from work. and still only level 30.

I am currently waiting for my brother to catch up to me so I have been doing Server PvP

Also can someone answer this for me.

lol, I've logged (as of last night) 130 hours, the missus is over 160hours I think now. The highest characters we both have are lvl 30 :)

Wow, my highest toon is 25, and I've put more hours into this than any game in a long time. I've got all the character slots full of alts mind you, but still, do people get up, play and then go to sleep again for a week or something?

I'm already starting to grow bored with this game, and I only have a single character up to lvl 25. I've only really been playing PvE so far, but that's a big part of MMO's for me. I love the social aspect of grouping up to complete challenges... PvP is an end-game activity for me, but I'm not sure if I'll actually reach end game in GW2. It lacks any kind of social interaction, no one talks to each other or forms groups, there's no need to. And so far I haven't seen any group dungeon content, at all. The PvE side so far is just running around completing zones in single player mode. I usually love playing a healer class, joining a guild and then going for the most difficult content asap. But I don't really see the point in GW2. The exploration part is great, but it soon gets boring when you have no one to do it with. I may as well be playing offline tbh, it just doen't feel like an MMO at all.

No need to wait for him to catch up, go join him your automatically down leveled.

I never rushed through, on my way to 80 I never left a zone until it was 100% completed, I also leveled 2 crafts at the same time and by the time i was 80 I had 50% of the game done and 2 crafts at 400 skill.

Of course I did play from 5am to midnight on the first day of headstart :) No one was making me leave the desk that day, even if the flat was on fire!

Your first day is about a week's playtime for me :)

The thing I've noticed with all the alts is the sheer number of events in each zone. I keep coming across stuff even in Queensdale at this stage that I've never seen happen before. I think as the zones empty out a bit and the seraph actually start losing to the centaurs you'll see even more stuff that never kicks off when every zone is saturated with players.
