what low profile cpu cooler under 100mm for overclocking?

Hi, im looking for a low profile cpu cooler for overclocking, it will be used on a i5-3570k and in a Lian Li PC-V355B Aluminium Micro ATX Cube Case.

the case says max 100mm cpu cooler height.

was looking at the Noctua NH-L12 but i read somewere its not suitable for overclocking.

there isnt any unless you go liquid :(
the low profile ones are good at being very quiet, not good for oc
 
Wouldn't be able to work anyway because of the RAM. You would need a liquid cooler. Which is noisy and sometimes unreliable.
 
The Noctua would be fine for some overclocking, you can OOC on the stock heatsink a bit.

However you might be better off fitting a H80 or similar to one of the 120mm fan mounts.

Edit: Also consider the BeQuiet Topflow, it's exactly 100mm tall without the fan and you may be able to mount the fan underneath.

looking at this photo i could probably get away with a higher cpu cooler

the cooler pictured is 93mm high.

any reason for choosing the samsung ram over the GeIL EVO Leggera 8GB?

I don't think it will fit considering how close the 12mm one is to the HDD cage.

Samsung RAM is very low profile and has great overclocking potential. It's one of the best RAM so far: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18379546
 
i cant see the Noctua NH-C14 fitting to be honest.

yeah that write up on the samsung ram looks good to be honest, might go for that instead then.
