Before the end of the year - around xmas most likely.
As long as your rig can handle it and you get yourself into a good 12 man squad communicating over voice comms, then this game delivers an experience unrivaled by any game.
Last night I was in a battle with easily 300 people, consisting of tanks, aircraft, tonnes of infantry and it was just pure chaos.

that's what i'm worried about as i bought D3 with the thought of running around with mates... but that dwindled out fast... i still play and have fun tho always in pugs now :\ clan is heavily towards BF3 and getting into CS:GO atm... so i dunno if adding another game would just thin things out. is there any in game voip? e.g. bf2 squad comms?

yes there's global comms, platoon comms, squad comms, and adjacency comms (all voip)
It's highly unlikely it'll be out this year, they have a lot to work on.
My guess would be a couple of months into next year.
good good.... are people generally useful and nice or is it just a bunch of elitest ****s and 12 year olds like you see on console versions of COD
??hopefully the former. hummmmmm really tempted to just chip in and give the cash. if i do like it and continue to pay then having a few ingame items and 10% bonus isn't that bad... and i wouldn't mind supporting them with the money.... but if i don't like it..... bit of a waste for a game that isn't even out yet lol think this game will be using nvidia 3d vision also isn't it? is it working yet as if it does i might buy it just to see that xD

There are really good moments, like the mass battles, then after youve spent an hour getting something everyone leaves and a lone galaxy comes in and even though youre in a defense cannon filling it full of what can only be blanks all the way in, it lands, spawns 5 guys who run around taking the base back AND NOBODY SPAWNS IN TO DEFEND!!! Gah so frustrating, but the good times outweigh the bad and it can only get better.
you cant reinstall direct x on windows 7 can you? He has just tried reinstalling with no luck

Just had an awesome session on EU 01 with Vanu. Found a really good squad, I was the leader and we were running ****. If you were on EU 01 tonight you will know Vanu were ruling.

When I try and launch this it comes up saying 'Game is starting, please wait ...' then it goes away and the game doesn't launch. Then whenever I press play it just keeps doing that.
Tried running as admin, validating files, etc.
I know its beta and bugs are to be expected and whatever but does anyone have any ideas?

That Vanu hasn't full capped the whole map is just fail on their part, almost all of both the NC / TR are constantly fighting in and around the perma-grind that is West Highlands... there is barely anyone left for you to fight with and you only managed to barely break out into NC territory for a little while before getting pushed back?
