I remember the meet we had where me met up in Stone (I think it was Stone, certainly somewhere between Tentham and Stafford anyway) and went for a drive to just west of Nantwich.

No I was only picking up on your comment about British engineering. I work with some ex Rover engineers and some of their innovations were ahead of the competition. This is replicated today with JLR, F1, WRC etc.

RR6 / RR7 iirc. 2007 according to the data on the graphs I've got from that RR. I think that was my first meet and I rocked up in a clapped out 1.4 205.

Yes well you definitely had more power! I think you had the remap at the time and nothing else?
I was just running the cat back at the time plus AWD losses of fail!
So then, who remembers this
At the time, it drove the girls crazy.
Now I look back and think, WTF, how things have changed.
Infact I got rid of it soley because Spie in his Zafira GSI beat me on the A500.
