The other half's iphone 4 was dropped the other day and the screen smashed to bits. I fould a few guides to installing a replacement on the net, so I ordered a replacement and set about stripping the phone apart. Aside from a few tiny frustrating screws managed to take it apart, change the screen and put it back together. Here lies the problem however, the screen works fine and for the most part so does the touch sensor but she is unable to select any apps located in the tray located at the bottom of the screen. It swipes to unlock fine but any apps, or buttons within apps located in the botton cm can not be selected.
I've taken the phone apart 3 times to check for loose connections, or incorrectly seated hardware that can cause it but no luck. The only thing I can think of is that its a duff screen? Any ideas?
