Im still all over the place regarding making a decision on a FF body (and system even)! Do you find yourself using a lot of the AF points? What method of AF are you using which allows you take advantage of the extra points, say compared to a 9 point system?

I dont think the 61 points of the 5D3 system span a much wider or taller section of the sensor than the 5D2 or 6D system - but there is just more points within that roughly the same section of the frame. Right?
 
95% of the time I use manual spot AF selection with all 61 available for selection. I'm used to selecting AF points quickly having had the 40D which has joystick and on the 5D3 it's even quicker as you can swap between centre and another AF point by middle clicking the stick.

Other times I use zone based AF (or cross zone) or if in AI Servo then set to full auto and manually set the initial AF point area and let the camera track the subject around all 61 points.

All 61 points available as opposed to just 9 or slightly more makes manual point selection more accurate as well because there's less room for error :)
 
D600s arrived today, meant to take photos but didn't get around to it. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get to unbox one and tut loudly at how badly positioned they are next to the D800 :D
