**The iPhone 5 accessory thread**

So, the new dock connector no longer has analogue audio out. No great loss, but does it now have digital audio out?

If so will we be seeing TOSLINK adaptors at all?

So what Case should i be looking for? First iPhone for me. a lot of choices on Ebay. Don't really want to spend too much.
Because i know at some point i will be taking the case off.

I went for the one I posted here several posts back (4gear). Several others went for it too, they can be had on ebay for £15.

Keen on getting a nice slipcase, doesn't even have to be leather. I want it to be a snug fit though, so that the thing doesn't slide out.

Would seem a cardinal sin to take this form factor and add even a millimeter to its dimensions with a rigid case. I love the feel of it naked in my hand, but want it to be protected in my pants (obligatory that's what she said).

Bit annoyed they've not released bumpers for the 5, I've constantly had one on my 4 and then 4s!

This, its the perfect compromise. Keep the phone looking good and offer some protection.

The one time I've dropped my old 4S on a marble floor it saved it.

The glass is decent enough to withstand scratches with regular use. I've not used any protector on my 4S for a yr and not a single scratch. Plus my young kids used it.

Actually that's my main gripe against the 5. The aluminum rear, is sure to get scratched far easier than gorillia glass. Given i don't like cases unless its a bumper its a worry to me. I like to keep my phone perfect !

I find it most amusing the amount of people who happily pay £600 for a top end piece of kit with such a gorgeous design, then hide it in a cheap piece of ugly plastic tat :p

Mine will be used au naturale with a leather pouch for when it's in my pocket. Always do this with my phones and they are always pristine when I come to sell them.

Picked up a tech 21 snap case in CPW, fits well, pretty tight and nice protection, though tightness of the fit makes me think it might scratch the phone when taking on/off given the issues with the black finish people have had, but as I probably won't take it off and generally just recycle when I sell, I'm not too fussed.

Don't buy it. I bought one and the phone scratched the plastic shield inside when inserting it making it look terrible. Waste of time.

Thanks for the heads up, I was able to get it into the case without scratching it.

Looks/feels nice on my white IP5.

My gear 4 case arrived today, I am certainly impressed! :)

I made sure to get rid of all sediment fromt he case and phone efore putting them on

I was in the O2 store picking up my NanoSIM and remembered I had the 10 off from Priority Moments so I picked up Griffin Reveal case for 4.99. Looks just like that one posted above, black rubber edge and clear plastic back.
The camera hole is bigger on mine though, I assume they manufactured them before they new the final design.

Will tide me over until I see what else is released, those Joli iPhone sleeves look nice though. I won't be putting anything on the front, but I always feel nervous putting the back down on a surface and it just feels easier to hold in a case.

I picked up a Griffin clear back black case today. It fits perfectly and adds very minimal bulk and weight. Plus you can see the iPhone design through it.

I think this is the first iPhone case I have ever had that I like using.

I like the look of that. :)

Quick question, Is that plastic or rubber round the outside?

Nice, think i shall grab myself one of them. :)

Its the best looking case i've seen so far.... and i really dont like iPhones in cases!
