Second tier of wvw has had some great battles.

Desolation v Gunnars v Frog server

Desolation were third but around midnight last night on the verge of going first, but at the same time both Gunnars/French had teamed up and were attacking inner gates of SM from north and south. Was on almost an hour 30 holding south gate and was still holding when I logged. Wouldn't be too shocked if it has fell overnight though.

It was a lot better and a lot more organised as WvW should be. Only downside was the lag, it was obscene! They had built a Treb on the outer walls to bombard inner gate, thought I would go and kill it. Sat and watched an empty courtyard for about a minute planning a route, dropped down and started running... All of a sudden I get zerged dead after a dozen steps! Game suddenly catches up and there are around 30-50 enemies standing round, over a minute behind! Really poor!

Yeah I've found the WvW much much better this time round too, found it much more even and nip and tuck now that we arent facing that french Vizunah Square server which annihilates everything.

The thing with Desolation is if we do bad, then it's all good, but if we do good then we will get put back up with Vizunah who just destroy everyone. So every 1/2 weeks we will face them get pummeled then go back down below top 3 and have a good 1/2 weeks then rinse and repeat.
 
Vizunah Square destroy people by capturing stuff at night, there is no avoiding that, but during the day they are no better than far shiverpeaks, who have started to get organized. Once Desolation starts to get organized then we can start to compete during the day as well (although we will still lose to Vizunah while we sleep).

It is irritating how Viz take advantage of quiet times, but cheating and running away from a fair fight is standard frog behaviour so no real shock.
