Air Asia to start childfree area on plane

You've not been here long have you. :p It's GD Dude joke was obvious. :D

I've been here a long time and it wasn't funny.

I fly a lot and a child kicking your seat etc is annoying but surely if the child is within 10 rows it would still be audible due to the confined space. Great idea giving people a choice though.

I'm a new dad and the thought of taking my baby on a flight petrifies me.

So unprofessional that one of the directors of OMV (a very large oil company) who was with us has just given us over 1 million pounds of extra work due to the trip, man i suck.

wow, that's so amazing.......

You decided to exact some form of revenge on a family while in a professional environment, your choice but not something I would do if a million pound contact was on the line.

How can you make such a comment based on the very little knowledge that you know about the situation? :\

He can't, but it's funny watching him get upset on someone else's behalf.

It's also amusing that he assumes I was the only one upset or was the most upset about the kid crying.

I could have backing up and agreeing with the big cheeses for all he knows.

Look at the simple facts given to us. He has stated that he intentionally went out of his way to annoy other passengers while on a business trip with clients. He can fluff it up however he likes, say the parents were obnoxious or that the child was a brat but either way I can say with confidence that nobody in my company would act in that way.

What would you have done if one of the directors of a company started kicking off about the situation, turn round tell him he was a moron, agree with him, ignore him? What if you happened to agree with his opinion on the situation?

You then get off the flight annoyed but unified in your fight. Bad for business and relationship building indeed..........

Maybe you did have their agreement, however I'm really not that upset or worked up, just voicing an opinion on what you freely posted. I stand by my comment that if money was on the line I would not be playing retaliatory games with other passengers, I'd be concentrating on my job.

Granted I can see how that situation could arise, but I find it hard to believe that the director would then expect you to sort out the problem for them.

I also can't imagine the director of a multi billion euro business thinking to himself "that Firestar_3X fellow is great, I remember the time when he backed me up by helping antagonise the passengers on that flight!".

Made one couple with a screaming kid very uncomfortable the other week, the little darling wouldn't shut up, unfortunately for them I was flying with 8 clients so we took up most of business class, needless to say the couple with the screaming kid enjoyed the flight less than we did.

Payback in my books!

How did you make them uncomfortable?
Why would you do this?

We don't want to know about how you swung that thank you very much, this is a family forum :D

Fair play to you, it's the last thing you want, especially in Business Class. And congrats on the extra work!

FULL HOUSE!

:D

I have no intention of paying thousands of pounds

Because you don't pay for your travel as you often remind us in most air threads :p

Incorrect, it's now a full house because you've commented, can't resist can you ;)

Imagine the shock that I have an opinion and things to mention about something I do quite often.

Nothing particularly special flying business. Flew KLM from Amsterdam to Cape Town on business in February and swore I've sat more comfortable on park benches.

First class. Now there's something to brag about!

Hey, I specifically mentioned I fly first.

Peasants.

It's all about economy. Oh yes.

That said moving back on topic I honestly can't remember ever being irritated by a kid on a plane for more than about 15 minutes. Which is odd as I have almost zero tolerance for noisy kids.

First it just too expensive :(

...but oh so worth it....and also quite 'cheap' if you know the tricks.

Flying back from Sydney I was the only one in First.

It's nice having a whole section to yourself!
