Whats the Worst car you have ever owned?

Just abit of fun.

1: Whats the worst car you have owned?
2: How much did you pay for it?
3: What was wrong with it?
4: How long did you have it/or how long have you had it?
5: What did you replace it with?.

1: Mine was a 97 fiat punto sx
2: Present from my dad but he paid £800 a year before i had the pleasure.
3: everything seemed to break, it was at a point where i didnt understand much about cars or mechanics and just gave my dad money for the parts while he fitted them. The interior was grey and dingy, no power steering, electric windows or anything. Best thing about it was the green lit dash.
4: had it for 3 years
5: replaced it with a vectra diesel
 
1: peugeot 206 xsi
2: £5k
3: electrics were screwed. accelerator peddle would stop working
4: 1 year
5: part exchanged it. Audi A3

3. Trusted my dad with car purchasing decision. Car was a wreck, basically fundamentally unsafe with broken ABS, broken track rod, dead clutch and broken turbo. :rolleyes:
4. 2 weeks (threw it at the auctions)
5. Vauxhall Astra Mk4 1.8 CDX (What WAS I thinking?!?)

Not my finest hours of motoring....

2. Not much.
3. I blew it up down the M69.
4. Give it to my mate who credited me with "free" mechanical work/Ramp use etc.
 
1.) 1997 Corsa 1.2
2.) £0 (given to me)
3.) Built like junk, slow as sin (how do Vauxhall always seem to manage to make their cars so pathetically slow?), absolutely no creature comforts or equipment (not even a rev counter).
4.) 9 months
5.) Brand new 2003 Saxo VTR (Also a mistake)
 
I'm 40 now so this was when I was about 20.

3. I put at least 1 x 5 litre carton of oil in it a week. parked it over a drain so my mum would not complain about the mess
4. 6 months
5. Vauxhall Cavalier GSI
 
1: Brown Ford Escort - X reg when the X was on the right of the licence plate
2: £375
3: Brakes didnt work properly, other than that not sure.
4: 20 minutes - brakes failed to stop the car just after I drove it away
5: Nothing at the time - bought a Nova 5 years later
 
1: Fiat Cinquecento SX (39bhp) (first car)
2: £200
3: Nothing for a first car. It didn't break, and gave me my first dose of freedom. Tinny and slow and no crash protection though!
4: Had it for about 18 months - had it to learn to drive as well
5: A Renault Megane
 
1) Austin Metro 1.3
2) About £400 from memory.
3) It was brown. It was a Metro. Didn't give me too much trouble mechanically apart from killing the front tyres because the tracking was way out.
4) It lasted about 6 months before I used it to restyle the back of a reps Audi on the M6.
5) Went without a car for a couple of years, then got a Cinquecento Sporting.
 
1: VW Corrado 2.0 16v
2: Not a lot, £1100 or so
3: At First nothing other than being on the hardest suspension i've ever experienced but every week something else broke. Handbrake cable, dodgy gear linkage, various coolant leaks, the spoiler gave up at one point, rocker gasket (iirc), the backbox fell off - it also scalded me (via my own stupidity but we'll blame the car, it may actually have been the VR6 that done this I can't remember)
4: Didn't have it long at all, a few months and I then gave up sorting things on it - ended up buying a rado VR6 with the mistaken belief that I just had a friday car and the VR would be better.....wrong!
5: Corrado Vr6....again only for a few months...I loved them both believe it or not, would have another if I had lots of spare time and didn't need it every day.
 
1: MR2
2: £1200
3: Brakes constantly err breaking, rusty sills, lots of other annoying little faults.
4: 1 year
5: MR2 turbo :D
 
1. Fiat Punto 1.2ltr - 2001/51 plate
2. £1500
3. It was my first car, wasn't supposed to be a good car! too slow and it was very light blue. (dare I say baby blue?)
4. Just shy of 2 years before I want a gearbox, two clutches and an exhaust in a few
5. 2007 Fiesta ST

Tbh. I've only owned two cars. The Punto and my ST. Punto wasn't that bad really! :p
 
Tried to post in thread but really couldn't decide.

All my cars was awesome in there own little way to me :)

Suppose the VXR has gave me the most headaches out of the lot though.
