Spent a bit of time working on it this week and its finally done :)

One of the best events Ive been to in years and Im not even into drifting (never done it either). Very home brew / Mad Max style location but tons of fun and was only a fiver entry. They have their next event in a month so as long as the weathers good Ill be heading back again.

Interesting mix of comments so Ill give a bit more background on it.

Its not D1 or BDC in the slightest, its more a RWYB day of fun where noobs and pros can mix it up and bring their mess around cars along without the fear of pranging them. Plus some of the lads who have been doing it for a while can shakedown their actual proper cars too like the Soarer and Supra.

It might look a bit tramp drift and I suppose thats part of the appeal of it too, Ive watched drifting since the early 00's and it never really interested me much as I always looked at the cars and thought "sod that, if I scratched it Id cry" but after seeing this and the sheer fun of it Im all up for giving it a go with a £2k "banger" BMW just to see what its like and if Im into it.

Its a good intro and like I said for a fiver to go along and check it all out its a great day of fun :)

As for music on car videos, they have their place. Cheap remoulds and part worns screetching on concrete and tarmac for 6 minutes actually sounds worse LOL

bledd. - not sure, got some of the effects for the intro from freesfx.co.uk - was basing it on the intro for Transformers and also the pod races in Phantom Menace (as that was a scrapheap challenge looking dirt track race too :)

Nice video. Not a fan of the song used, but I'm not against the use of music. :)

I had wondered if you were the same rikki from strathycruise, seems you are. Used to have a white mr2?

I had a few friends wanting to go along to this, I'm not much into drifting though so didn't bother. Might try to make the effort to get to the next one though, looks fun.

More info needed. This sounds epic.

It's really not. Just your standard plebs in corsas, saxos, fiestas etc parking up at the local McDonald's. it's called the mfi cruise because mfi was the first shop in the retail park, the mfi has since closed (obviously) but that's just what it's called these days.

By that post i take it you have never been.

Yeah I'd much rather stand in a cold car park and talk about how fast and how sideways I could go if I wanted...

Yep, My mate's brother and other pal both run E36's with welded diff at teeside for the same thing, Loads being used for this reason.
