OMG!

just played a team with chamberlain/mirallas/sturridge, and just flies through my defence, while my 90 pace attackers cant get past his defence..

and he scored every chance he got, it was sooooooooo frustrating.


Not my night at all.

3 loses in a row tonight, whereas i was flying through this morning

I've managed to trade my way to 80k coins so far and looking to spend 30k of that on a basic La Liga team while using the 50k for trading.

Still not found a great method or specific players for trading yet. Tempted to use 4200 points but think I'll wait for a decent TOTW.

I'm not spending on packs but I'm finding it difficult to trade my way up from scratch. Started out with an awful chem bronze team sold all gold players from starter pack (best I got was Krul) just started a pacey championship bronze team with full chem for an average of 200 per player. Going to have a crack at bronze tourney then upgrade some players in my Brazilian gold team and try and start a proper La liga squad
 
Does anyone play anything than UT in here? Gonna pick it up tomorrow, wouldn't mind playing some h2h's with people..

Playing with a meagre gold 3-4-1-2 Serie A squad at the moment, which I started by just buying players for 300 - 350 coins, pretty cheap and kinda fun. Might keep doing it with different leagues and formations as I work up to a £85 million club!

I dont think I've ever used msp on ultimate team (apart from buying it on 09) but I understand why people do. It takes time to build up coin and not everyone understands or takes time to learn how to play the game without constantly running out of coin/contracts etc.. luckily it hasnt changed much in 5 years!

As Ive not had FIFA 13 to play Ive done pretty well to get over that initial hump and made 150k so far (once stuff sells) and Ill start making a team when Im more nearer 250k so I can have 100k to play with. Basically at a point where cash injection just doesnt have a massive impact, I can still make a good enough team to enjoy. It also means theres a lot of headroom for improvements over the season too!

Obviously the returning player packs helped but found it pretty easy (like last year) to trade, just dont try and maximise your profit otherwise youll sit on stuff for ages (curretly stuck with formation cards by doing this!). Its all about worthwhile profit and how quickly you can recycle that coin investment aswell as knowing accurately how the market is moving...

Best advice I can give is to do a bit of research and only buy players you want, avoiding unpopular/unsuitable formations - good chance others will too if the logic is sound and if they dont have the patience theyll happily pay over the odds...

Must admit I do like trading though but I do go through phases where I just cant be bothered, normally thats tied up with not enjoying a team so selling it and thinking about a new one always is a trading incentive.

Hoping to aim for 3-5million this year if I cba - we will see...

How much is Ahamada in form worth? Just got him in my Season Ticket pack and can discared him for 9.3k so don't know whether to try and sell him or not :p

probably quite a lot even bronze in forms go for 10k plus. I got shaqiri and a 2k coin card, sold shaqiri and bought gervinho 433

A quick check on the AH suggests most people are listing him for around 10k. Not sure if anyone is actually paying that for him though, as he still looks a rather average keeper tbh.

Seen this attack way too many times now. All of them feel OP.

Just got Dede in my season ticket pack.

Anyone notice that the refs don't give as much free kicks in 13? In 12, all it took was alittle push or collision and the ref would stop the game. Theres been times where both of us have stopped as we both thought it was a foul but the refs doesn't blow. We both just stand there looking confused for a few seconds. :D

I just learned how to do these sort of goals but have yet to manage an overhead kick. I can score volleys and half volleys. Learning this has changed the way I play as before when I crossed it in all my player would do is a weak header, now I control the ball on the chest and volley it. Skill games is what I have to thank for learning this.

I have 300k sitting doing nothing but don't want to spend it on a team as I am enjoying my Serie A team too much. Might keep it and wait for prices to level out. 120k for neymar, whaaat?

btw, IF Ronaldo is coming. Hide yo wallets.

Played a little over the weekend.

This was Friday evening btw, so technically release day. How? I mean, you have to either be doing something really dodgy, or getting seriously lucky in an epic pack binge surely?!

I beat him 2-1 with my cheap brazil team:

Fire Sale at Wit Wanderers - Everything must go!

Really could not get used to 4-3-1-2. Great in the middle of the pitch, absolutely no width, struggle to get players wide unless I use pacey LB/RB's, leaving me hugely exposed if I do commit to an attack.

Torn between 4-1-2-1-2, which i've used before and liked, or 3-5-2. What's the latter like to play?
