I just really dislike the gameplay, everything feels utterly random, they have overdone the first touch thing so it's actually difficult to score good goals, they made power shooting laughably overpowered whilst making finesse shots utterly redundant.

I am still doing well in it, 4:1 W/L ratio and in Div 1, I just don't like it.

Yeah what is up with finesse shooting now? I understand before it ridiculously OP but now players hardly even hit the target at all with it. Even with Messi you very rarely hit the target so what is the point of it? They were supposed to change the system so people had to think intelligently about whether to power the ball or place it but instead everybody powers the ball because placing it is rubbish. It hasn't solved the problem at all.

I'm also finding the First touch system a bit.. odd. Was through on goal and passed it round the keeper to my other player(cheap tactic I know but..) he was about 3 yards away from the empty net with his foot facing the goal and it somehow hit his foot and went flying to the edge of the area..
 
Should I add Schurrle as a LM to my Serie A squad? I know hes not Serie A/Italian but I will still have 100chem by doing so. Hes pretty beast, I don't like Zuniga much.

Go with Lulic for LM if you don't like Zuniga. He is cheap and very underrated.

Agreed, everything seems 'weightier', which I prefer. Much prefer it to '12, which tbh took a while getting used to from '11.
 
Whoop, got Allen, Moses, and a rare Altidore in my gold pack today. Much, much better than last time when I got Kleberson. Might actually have some coinage to spend now :)

I would enjoy it if it wasn't laggy every game and if I didn't seem to always be 3 seconds behind the other player.

Just feels horrible really, might try H2H instead of UT. Singleplayer feels great...

I agree, I think it's fantastic.

How is your player season going, Davey?

I typed a big huge post the other day whilst on the train on my phone about the improvements to player & manager mode and how it's much better etc but I refreshed the page by accident and lost it :o.
 
I bought Villa for Liverpool as my first transfer dealing in manager mode, he is a boss and scored in my first game, still lost 3-2 to Man City though. :(

Love manager mode.
 
Just opened a pack and got a Puyol in 4-1-2-1-2, anyone want to buy him off me as I can't be bothered with the time it takes for it to sell :p?
