Ahhh, I just ordered the 1Tb Seagate drive last night for £59.99! Spent ages trying to decide whether I could justify the extra money for the 2Tb too, before deciding it was too much. Bad timing.

True one year warranty is nothink 3 years great but 1 year is no good.

Unfortunately its not us guys, the manufacturers made the decisions on warranty beyond 1yr.

Would the apparent Ticking when the drive seeks bother you?

Can anyone tell me do these have XMP profiles, So I just pop them in and it sets up everything, so I dont have to start messing around with timmings ????

I have asked this before about this ram but got no answers, maybe Valkia could check ?

I put the 8gb kit into a pc on friday, supported xmp and it worked fine.

Its total overkill even with a few VM's run up, photoshop benefits the most and I use that rarely... At 100 quid for 32gb though, it just seems "too" cheap to not have a play

what board have you the 4x8s in ? and is it all running @ 1.5 volt
im still not sure what to do,, i run a small overclock 4ghz on my 2500
things running great but keep hearing that more ram might upset things on my rig.

No overclock as im passive cooling. I would be very surprised if more memory affects that type of OC, if you were hitting 5 there "may" be an issue due to the increased IMC strain but I would say fire in, you will be fine...

sweet deal on those drives pity i missed em would have got 4 for sure
badly need to upgrade me old 500GB ST3500641AS raid set

bought 2 WD 3tb wears so far i have gone through 7 of these drives most failed within days of installing em (first time in over 10 years i have bought wd drives)

guess i will have to keep saving the pennies till i can swap em out for the Seagate 3TB ST3000DM001

16GB for £50...wtf?? The timings aren't amazing but I wonder how low the sticks go. They are nice looking.
