Thank you B Grade

You have still not posted in Customer Service? If you contact me about it I will sort it out there tomorrow morning.

So the op is disappointed with a B GRADE and decided to complain about it after initially being happy about the price. What am I missing? Return it back and get a refund. B Grade is always a gamble.

No, if I received the product & was unhappy I'd return it under the 14 day DSR. They have deleted the actual reason for my dissatisfaction which I'll respect in lieu of a response from 5UB in the morning.

no 1 dave, if 5UB is on it he will sort you out to your satisfaction, a similar thing happened to me and he was awesome, best customer service I have ever received. Having said that Ocuk need to sort out the B Grade section as this is happening too often and getting noticed.:D:(

I went to Tesco's at the weekend to buy a chicken pie which was displayed on their website. They didn't have any left, so I wasn't happy, created a scene, and won't be using them again.

I am just playing devil's advocate, but my advice is to chill. Why get so wound up over something so unimportant? Stock levels and systems can take some time to update, and I too missed out on an OcUK B-Grade offer several years ago (I think it was an 8800 Ultra). Life goes on...

hehe where i think we all understand where you coming from, there is a slight difference between a £10 chicken and a £300 video card.
also if you ordered the chicken online and then at the end of the next day when it was supposed to be delivered you got an email saying sorry we haven't got any even though the website said it was in stock then you'd have an better analogy.

but your right lets all chill and wait to see how 5Sub sorts it out for no 1 dave.

The same thing happened to me - I ordered a B Grade GPU on thursday last week, but the stock system hadn't updated and it'd already been sold. Got a similar email to no1dave yesterday.

I've since sorted it out with OCUK/5UB and they've done be a fairly decent deal on a different card. While it's frustrating.. glitches/mistakes happen and 5UB has done exactly what I'd expect from a company like OCUK - can't fault the customer service!

Hope it goes the same way for OP!

I order my shopping from Teso's all of the time, and there are usually a few items missing or replaced. It's always the things you want most that don't show up. It can be frustrating, but that's life. They don't even bother to tell you it is out of stock / substituted until the delivery lorry shows up.

But it can be very frustrating waiting for a new toy that never arrives, especially if iit was a bargain.

I am guessing this can be posted now as it is no longer bad advertising for OCUK, yesterday I was angry so I can understand why it was deleted :D

Basically on Monday @ 6:30pm I ordered the B-Grade 680 for £299
On Tuesday I took Wednesday (today) off to make sure I'd have time to dismantle my water cooling and fit the card.
On Tuesday at about 5:10 I get an email saying it's actually out of stock, bare in mind OCUK closes at 5:30 so I have 20 mins to amend my order. I phone them up & wait on hold for 10-15 mins, finally get trough to someone & find that all I can do is either swap the order to a 670 or cancel it. On top of that OCUK is now closed, any change I make wont arrive till Thursday. I was advised they couldn't discount the 670 even to price match.

The reason I was so hacked off & angry is not because they were out of stock but because they waited till right at the end of the day to advise me of this, by which time I'd already taken the day off work. Being an enthusiast website I'd imagine or at least reasonably expect them to realise a lot of customers take time off when ordering new components, so if an item is out of stock it's best to let them know in the morning so there is time for customers to make alternate arrangements or change the order. The way it was handled I expected at least some gesture of goodwill. A days holiday wasted costs me approx £90 as I am classed as self employed so didn't earn anything today.

Anyway, today 5UB was brilliant.
I didn't end up with a 680 for £299 and I didn't get given £90 to cover my day off so I am not 100% satisfied but I can see he has done all he can to help, a lot more then any other etailer (that I am aware of) would have done. He did offer me a great saving on a 680, the saving was very nice but it would have meant paying some extra. I was tempted but I have never & don't plan to ever spend more then £300 on a graphics card.

In the end I have a 670 with a small (£12ish) discount along with Nexuiz & Sleeping Dogs free. Plus 5UB decided to throw in a OCUK mug. I also asked he add a VGA block & some ram sinks to the order & charge me the extra, but he even discounted them for me too which I didn't expect. All in all that is more then expected & more then others would do. Obviously I'd have rathered the B-Grade 680 but hey. On the plus side, in a couple of months time when I go SLI I'll save £100 because I won't have to fork out for another 680. As usual the customer service is why 90% of the time I buy from here :)

The same thing also happened to Gregster when he ordered his B Grade monitors. I know he was very happy with how it ended but it does make you wonder if there is a problem with their B grade stock logging systems.

Glad to hear that he (mostly) sorted it out for you.

He sorted it out for me & I'm happy.
It would be unreasonable of me to expect reimbursement for the day off as it was my decision to take it. It is not their fault I am classed as self employed so do not get paid holiday pay. I was only hoping for some gesture of goodwill & that's what I got, more then expected actually.

Although when he asked what I'd like the outcome to be I did say a 680 for £299 but only because there was no harm in asking lol :D

Whilst I am happy you are happy, sadly I am not :( I recieved 1 parcel today containing some braided cables and some quad channel memory only to find there is no Haribo in the bag :( :( :(

I have a big order coming tomorrow and if I have no Haribo, I will be informing The Mail about this.

:D

Couldnt you have had the £90 off the price of a new 680? Wouldve cost less than £299 then :)
