** Star Trek Into Darkness **Spoilers!!**

Can't believe it was 2009 that Star Trek came out! Doesn't seem that long ago! Crazy.

OMG OMG OMG! MORE STAR TREK! :D

I feel bad watching tng at the moment on pick tv fully in the knowledge one day I will buy it all on bluray and I am selling my self short craving star trek all over again.

Brent Spiner was the one who wanted Data killed in the movie as he was getting too old to play him any more.

B4 is back in the new books starting at the end of the month ;)

I believe Brent said that if they'd been able to write another film Data would have returned, and not as B4. Also, have you seen Patrick Stewart? :p

I still have my man crush on Patrick Stewart....

It's Gates McFadden who (sadly) hasn't aged well. Marina Sirtis has done alright though.

A pity theres no shatner cameo, pepople have been wanting one since generations, was rumoured for the reboot and never happened, and was rumoured for this as well :(

 there will be no more shatner never! :p

I was happy with his generations bit, but after that no more (though the interviews with him in the original films box set show him to be a good laugh)

His death in generations was flimsy, though it was better than what they had planned previously which was he simply got shot in the back, apparently they had to reshoot the whole ending again because test audiences booed the hell out of it.

Haha! It's not very star trek to shoot someone in the back (though it happened this evening in the terrorism episode)

Might as well just chuck shatner off a mountain, seems more sensible....

OMG OMG OMG! MORE STAR TREK! :D

Where?!

Oh, you mean more JJ Abrahm Star Trek...

The last was a good action film, and enjoyable as one but it was no Star Trek despite wearing most of the trappings.

Still, I'm looking forward to this but I doubt we'll see any more pre-Abrahms Trek which is a shame.

It's all we're going to get for a while and probably by the 3rd one he'll tone down the shaky hand cam stuff (gave me motion sickness last time I watched it).

Still creating some star trek is better than no star trek in my eyes :D

I agree with both these statements - however I'm currently working my way through S05 of "Eureka" and Wil Wheaton (while still bloody annoying) hasn't half changed has he?

The first film, as an action film, was entertaining but stupid. As a Star Trek film though, it was poor. iPad Wars, more like.

More of the same then for the sequel, I imagine. Like one of the above posters said, it's likely the only ST we are going to get, which is better than nowt I suppose. I can forgive the crashed into an Apple store look, if the story is not as stupid as the last one. The infamous Lindelof is involved again, so I'm not going to hold my breath.

Just whacked this together quickly out of curiosity. All the new pics are from 2012 as far as I can tell. I think they all look great!
