Just reheated last nights takeaway

If that advice is even halfway accurate it seems I have been most lucky. I have a habit of picking at leftovers without heating and I just bung my leftovers in the microwave for storage... class. :o

My god man, have you never eaten leftovers before? If you don't have to beat it into submission with a large stick first then it's OK to eat.

Only ever eat leftover dominos as long as its been left in the fridge. Don't have the strongest stomach in the world, don't want to attempt other stuff :(

Worst 'I'm just going to post this in a light hearted fashion to try to cover the fact that I'm really quite worried and actually want to know what people think of my act without asking outright' post ever!

I'll eat most things reheated, but never rice. I've done it once, and was crapping through the eye of a needle for almost a week afterwards. Never again!

You reheat rice from frozen in ready meals. Apparently it has been treated but I have no idea how. Most Chinese cook books will tell you to boil rice then chill it before stir frying it. The trick is to cool it quickly apparently.

Personally I do reheat rice but only what I cook in the first place. I would worry how many times it has been reheated in a takeaway however so I would just bin the rice and cook some more. Reheat the meat thoroughly and only do this after a maximum of 8-10 hours of it standing and covered.

In all honestly you are better off binning the lot and buying a fresh one.

I've always reheated take always. Half the time I've fallen asleep with it next to me, so it's sat unrefrigerated and mostly uncovered for around 12 hours while I'm in bed drunk & suffering. Still tastes good, and not once have I got sick.
People worry too much.

That sounds a bit tight, lol

Would you still eat it if you knew a great egg laying blue bottle had been bathing in it all night?

I must admit, If I have a kebab these days, I'll usually pay the £1 extra for a huge one knowing I'll eat half then re-heat the other half the following night.

I've eaten reheated take-out rice countless times over the past 10 years and never gotten sick. Bunch of bloody women :p

Two things
1. Toxins built up by bacteria growing when warm. Reheating will not sort this out. Chilling the rice after cooking minimises this.
2. Bacteria itself. Reheat good and hot to kill these off.

Either can give you an upset tummy. Usually nothing more unless you are already have health issues.
