Well although CLG should be through as they had that other game won.

Check their reactions out when they won the first game!

Only been playing in team games lately but has the honour system had an effect in solo queue? Team games seem to be remarkably good natured which I believe is a direct link to the honour system - hopefully it will last as positive reinforcement is so much better than negative :)

With a prize pool that size and making a claim at the biggest e sport in the world and they don't have booths and players can look over their shoulder and see the other teams minimap etc. along with lack of LAN or at least a feature that saves the game at a certain point, what an absolute shambles.

They have a ridiculous amount of money and are looking oh so amateur here.

That CLG reaction video is good, nice to see passion ;D

I went to bed after the first restarted match which CLG won, but I gather I didn't miss anything in the end due to various issues.

But just for clarification (because it's a PITA searching through the LoL forums to find this information): what exactly happened? I take it CLG were about to win the third game (fourth if you count the restart earlier), but then technical issues strike again? Was the third game restarted (making a fifth game overall) and then also got affected by technical issues?

1st game WE win
2nd game WE ahead but ended due to loss of internet connection
3rd game CLG win (now 1 - 1 score)
4th game CLG way ahead but again, loss of internet connection forcing a remake
5th game was slight advantage to WE, not too far in, but again loss of internet connection.
6th game was ready, but the casters said cross your fingers and... loss of internet connection before the game went live.

Thats the point where I stopped watching. So 6 hours after start it was still 1 - 1. The most recent update is that they will finish the current match and the semi finals in the "near future" at a new location with a secure internet connection.

The people embarrassed shouldn't be Riot it should be whoever owns the venue - I assume they are a professional body in which case this would be bad for them.

It could depend on at which point the network connectivity was lost. It could be that the ISP side of things was coping with the traffic butt he hardware Riot used at their end couldn't handle it and that could be the problem. They haven't fully explained the cause of the troubles yet.

The reason why some blame Riot though is that there is a lack of LAN support, which would have let the games continue (although without users being able to see a live stream). There is also some blame that they made it possible for the players to see the big screen and cheat by knowing where the enemy is.

Really? No LAN support or game saving? Letting players cheat easily? Absolutely terrible, teams being costed god knows how much money

Some people really do some to go overboard on the rage against Riot. It's not like this hasn't happened in other games such as Starcraft 2 and that still requires battle.net connectivity just like LoL needs a connection to the LoL servers.

As for the cheating, the only images i've seen is of someone looking at the screen at the start of the match, they are too busy watching their own screen after that. It should have been avoided, but in this case it wasn't really a big deal and there are more important things going on.

Azubu Frost looked at the map while the game was paused and saw where TSM was, TSM's whole strategy was about getting first blood and early game, by AF looking it pretty much ruined it for TSM.

You see one of them look at the screen and then ping where the whole team is...how is that not a big deal?

TSM even said they played badly, even if they got first blood they may not have won with the way they played. Also there are pictures of TSM players looking at the screen too.

Yes overboard on hate for screwing up a game how many times? Also openly allowing cheating and not having referees sitting behind all the players from the moment it was discovered (which should have been before the tournament) making sure they aren't cheating is diabolical from a tournament of this prestige.

It is so painfully amateur, even $2 wouldn't be this bad and they are ran by a racist idiot.

If you hate it so much, feel free to not continue watching the LoL tournaments hosted by Riot. The rest of us will continue to enjoy them.

Most people have accepted it has been absolutely awful compared to SC2/Dota2 tournaments, even LoL at dreamhack. If you took everyone who thought it was been amateur you wouldn't have many people watching it

Even Dreamhack has had issues, such as Alienware laptops overheating and causing a reset. Riot is still new to this, especially on this large a scale, people need to cut them some slack but as usual like true LoL player attitude, people just continue to rage and whine. Yes there were issues but people seem to just keep repeating themselves over and over with complaints. Just let Riot continue the tournament in their new location and lets see how it goes from there.

Who's racist? A Riot staff member or event organiser or...? I don't follow the LoL competitive scene (I only watch the actual matches occasionally), but I've not got the impression that anyone has been racist to anyone else at this event from what I've watched.
