Hi guys I really need your help...

Like 1 month ago someone broke into my house and stole few things and now we found out that they are selling them trough ebay and... We are 90% sure that that is our "ITEMS" well the point is that the user in ebay is a shop that sells and buy items for cash, do you know what I mean?

Well my question is...

We would like to go to that shop and ask for that "ITEM" and check the serial number and then if it was "our" we would call the police, but we are not sure about what we can do, basically because they can take retaliate or whatever...

Please I really need advice because we are foreign and maybe like most of you are "ENLGISH" xDDD you'll know what to do.

Really thanks and I'll keep refreshing the page every second xDDD kidding but waiting...

When we got burgled we got told to go around the local cash generators and look for our goods.

The shop wouldn't get in trouble but we'd get our items back. Am not sure you'd prove the shop owner was the one that knicked your stuff, but at least you could get it back.

Not really the point I think you are getting at (ie, sorting out the people that broke into yours) but you may have a hard time with a cash sell and buy type place to prove anything.

Gather all the evidence you can to prove ownership of the item(s) and wait on the police who will give you further advice.

There is nothing else you need do just now, if you alert ebay before the police get a chance the listing could be taken down and the seller alerted.

That'd mean those items vanishing without trace.

Well i believe strongly in hard work. To that end...

Track down who is selling the item, or if they are a company who acquired the item, get their CCTV.. Eventually find the source of this, break into their homes and **** them up.

Good idea but they know where we live,
the point is that if that is OUR "ITEM" that shop is in troubles right?

who knows where you live, the shop selling them, or the people that stole it.

Is it a business selling it or an individual? Is it professional?

Telephone the shop and speak to owner.
Say the following,

"I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you give me my stuff back now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

The store won't have any problems with you if they are your items, they won't be the one that stole them.

I have no idea what an Englishman would do, but a Scottish man would arrange a local pickup, inspect the item and if they can validate that it was their item then they'd ram a rusty screwdriver into their chest.

:D

Northerners would take a look at the item, realise it wasn't theirs, and run off with it.
