surely if they just supply the UK & ireland it would be enough to keep us going a fair while?

I don't recall Norway needing a Bailout at all.

Last I heard there was talk of should Norway Bailout Iceland, not the UK bailing out Norway.

Well the irish do desparately need the money and this will help but it's a tiny amount relatively speaking (compared to their enormous financial troubles) - I think even at 40% (which they won't get) they'd get around 9 billion euros in tax over the course of the wells life. That's a great return but not enough to make a huge dent in the massive amount they borrowed.

Oil has been found a few times off the west coast of Ireland, it was never deemed to be enough to bother extracting it but recently more and more of it has been found. Wouldnt change prices that much though seeing as most of our pricing comes from duty/tax.
