Noisy neighbour stabbed to death

Yeah, but now he's going to live in jail. I bet that's worse than a noisy neighbour.

Ahhh, good old St. Helens. I'm glad to come from such a lovely place.

It's a complete dive by the way, and you often see a transit van with "Jeremy Kyle" on the side grabbing people at random in town.

Exactly. How do you stab someone 3 times without the intention of killing them?

"Honest gov, she ran into my knife 3 times!"

It's not even that, you simply need to intend grievous bodily harm.

It strikes me as exceptionally odd that you stab somebody three times without meaning to cause GBH. As I said, must be some very interesting facts to this one :)

The facts must be fascinating.... stabbed her with a knife and killed her, yet manslaughter!

I would imagine that he convinced the jury that he had no plan to use the knife. Given the circumstances, it's possible he took it along for protection, as he was likely aware that there were a lot of people in the flat. If he planned to hurt or kill her from the outset, it would seem a tad silly to do it with so many witnesses. If there was no intent to use the weapon, and the attack was spur-of-the-moment, then it;s not murder.

Good god, that site is an internet haemorrhoid, check out the local news section.
I am of course referring to the writeups for the news articles, not the news itself.

Example 1:
"Firework explodes in 11 year old boy's hand
It happened in Manchester"

Example 2:
"11 more arrests in crackdown on guns and drugs in northwest
Ten man and one woman arrested"

Example 3:
"Kirkby pair arrested after St Helens theft crackdown
Man and woman caught in Matalan"
