Just was building a cheap EPL side to see what this sluggish stuff was all about, still feels rubbish.

Just come across the most honest player ever on fifa. Had a game and got beat 3-1, nothing went my way, hit the post a fair few times, counted at least 5 and the rebounds were bobbling everywhere except to my players, one of the line etc, Kid messaged me saying that I deserved to win the game, nice to have an honest player now and then, if only he scored own goals at the end to give it to me

Haha no not at all! I don't need to give you a chance, most of the games are dominated by you and then I get a goal at the end which flatters me.
Seriously though maybe I should look at a faster, stronger guy up front. Destro has 6 goals in 6 games, Pazzini has 5 in 6 And Di Natale has 11 in 6 but that's from the wing cutting inside. Might look into getting a better Serie A guy but it's hard finding a strong guy who's fast but can also head a cross in.

I've tried Puyol and Pique and to be honest Puyol is far better, he's good in the air and he seems infinitely more mobile, plus he actually stays back and defends. When I had Pique he spent half of his time on the halfway line, he's great in the air but if you want a defender then I'd go Puyol instead. Pepe - Puyol works pretty well, though to be honest if you're going to be buying from that league then I'd get someone faster like Miranda, Ekiza or just be a complete douche and put Perea there who has no links with anyone this year but it won't matter with 82 pace.

I don't think 4-1-2-1-2 works very well with Brazil, I made one myself a week or so ago and it's the worst team I've made so far, it felt sluggish and almost as if the players were being shoehorned into a system which they didn't like. I think 4-3-3, 4-3-2-1 or 4-2-3-1 would be better for Brazil, 4-3-3 would be my pick.

I thought Pique was excellent this year. Not slow at all, and nice and tall.

So, Hulk is awesome. Falcao is trash. Torres is winning. I'm not 100% convinced on Modric and Sneijder at the moment, although they are pathetically low on chm.
Just lost 4-3 to some laggy fool. Funny how it only starts to lag after I score a goal. ¬_¬ Submitted a negative review and a cheating complaint. I'm sure there are people tweaking their connections or something, the timing is just all off for it to be an accident. i.e. always after I score, or start to come back.
David Villa scored 3, so it wasn't all that bad.

Cheers guys, I've been using Pepe and Mirandas but needing a 3rd CB for rotation.
Think I'll try both Pique and Puyol. Looking at the stats on Futwiz I think I prefer Puyol. 88 aggression to Pique's 69 and has a high/med work rate.

Check out Ekiza too, he has low/high work rates, he's super cheap, Spanish, has 71 pace, 86 jumping, tall enough to be good at attacking and defending set pieces and has a 4 star weak foot. Worth it for a rotation unless you're a snob.

I have and all 3 are really good but Pique's work rates kill him. Masc/Pepe is the best combo.
how is Nando in this game? Only played against him a few times and he seemed pretty hard to defend against but he is 50k.
Just built a squad with 11 Barcelona players in the starting line up.

So how are you guys defending now you've had chance to play it for a week or so?
I used to CPU contain and use my player to cover passes. This doesn't really work as CPU contain leaves massive gaps for the through ball.
At the moment I'm standing off with my player covering the pass which works well until you meet a dribbler then he takes the player on and then I have to bring a player out which leaves gaps.
This way I find more successful than the CPU contain way of FIFA 12 thoughts?

Who are you using? Try someone like Fellaini CDM, Johnson RM, N'Zogbia LM, Santi Cazorla CAM, they all played "as a team" pretty well and didn't leave any gaping holes for me.
