I think I need to step away from UT for a while. I'm going through a period where I can't seem to win for love nor money, even though I'm plainly at least on a par with the person I'm playing. I usually end up with much more possession, more shots, more corners, and still lose. It's so frustrating that I'm afraid I'm going to smash my controller into pieces! I'm on the verge of relegation from Div 1 (I need to win my last 3 games to stay up) which is so annoying after winning the league, and finishing 2 points away from the title in my last 2 seasons.
Decided to jump back into my player career to calm down last night, and forgot how much I enjoy that. Still with Crewe (on loan from Everton), where I've banged in 58 goals in about 40 appearances. Crewe were doing so well - top of the league, into the Johnston's Paint Final, and we were 1-0 up away at Hull in the FA Cup 3rd round. I go down with a torn calf muscle, which puts me out for 8 weeks, and we promptly lose to Hull, lose 5 out of 8 league matches, and slip 10 points off top spot by the time I return with just 8 league games to go. At least I came back in time to play the Johnston's Final (where I inspire the team to a 6-2 victory), my first trophy as a player.
Now up to a 77 rated ST as well, so hopefully when the season is over and I return to Everton, they won't loan me out again, and I can play the next season in the Prem.
