Win8 Tablets

Asus Taichi with dual 1080p IPS displays (it's not a tablet though). It's a crazy idea but i like it...

I don't see any RT tablets with more than a 720p display or am I reading it wrong. Seems to me that if you want 1080p you have to go for Pro.
That's kind of annoying if true.

Announcements still coming, surprised.
Waterproof and dust prove, could come in very handy.

It does look good. It's not a powerfull chip. Think of it as equivalent power to arm chips. Fine running office tasks and media, don't expect it to play games though.

Clovertrail is about the same speed as the current high end atoms, so it wont run intensive games like battlefield, or any serious pro apps (maya etc.). Will probably be just enough for basic work in adobe apps and should run most normal apps like office just fine. According to Intel's internal testing it's significantly faster than Tegra 3 and S4 dual, but we won't know for sure until reviews are out this/next week.

Thought this was pretty cool, the 1992 think pad tablet next to the 2012 think pad tablet 2.

Lightroom also apparently has issues on 32-bit computers (all clovertrail tablets are running 32-bit Windows).

Do you think you'll go for the Surface pro or something else?

I really want them to release the prices so I can decide whether to get one or wait!

At the moment I think it's
Asus transformer book (looks like no 3G/4g)
Kupa ultranote even though the keyboard dock is fugly (no 11.6" screen, fugly)
Surface pro (no 11.6" screen, no 3G/4g)

The other option is buy a second hand win7 tablet like the Samsung series 7 upgrade it to win8 and wait till the next round of tablets in the new year. I find it hard to believe MS won't add 3G/4G, or competitors won't up their game.

However I cannot wait around for ever, the screen on the ipad is getting worse and worse, so if surface pro isn't out till jan, then it's a no go straight away, unless I buy a stop gap win7 tablet. I just don't think the screen on ipad is going to last long and it's uneconomical repair.
