US sales tax is around 10% in all states, usually less. If the iPad Mini UK price equates to the US price + 10% converted into pounds, I'll eat my hat.

Why push the boundries when you can lash a load of old tech into a smaller case, do a few slightly dodgy bordering on misleading comparisons to your competition and then still have it more than likely be a best seller at $80 more than the competition too?
Apple have a captive market, there isn't nearly as much incentive for them to push boundries these days.

Not all states have sales tax.
£269 I'm sold. I think I will get one and sell my iPad 2.
A Kindle and a Nexus 7 32GB for the same price as the 32GB iPad Mini. Give it 6 months and you'll get the Retina iPad Mini![]()
The 32GB N7 is likely to be £200 or £250 (tops), so will be £100 or £150 cheaper than the equivalent mini.
162 PPI for the iPad mini
216 PPI for the Nexus 7
