Was he presenting one note on pro??? There were icons on the bottom like in normal windows....or does rt look like Norma windows as well???

I thought PC World on Tottenham Court Road was getting the Surface? They've got a massive event on at midnight - bargain prices on HP PCs, free Beats Solo headphones for the first 300 customers and a 60" touch screen running Windows 8 for people to play with. Might be wrong about the Surface bit, but it's what I was told.

I'm actually a bit disappointed about that. It means that they can cut corners by not making things metro style and just bung on a desktop version. Using Windows Explorer with a touch screen is tedious.

Was this a late addition? I thought when it was announced that RT didn't have a desktop?

IIRC it always had a desktop but at first a lot of sites just assumed it didn't.
