If you have any pride in our country (which I presume you do) then you will know that neither of your scenarios will ever happen in this country, and we are not going to 'turn into Afghanistan'.

Yes, rapists are a scourge too. And yes, they come from all aspects of society. It doesn't make what I said any less true. It, along with it's counterparts, is a scourge. It doesn't do itself any favours in terms of public image. If it's not rioting over cartoons, making awful independent films or people writing books, it's simply spreading it's pernicious taint across the world.

Again, that's not to say other religions don't have their fair share of 'special' participants, although the very alignment with a religion/theocracy is a lamentable, and also detestable thing itself.

Unfortunately the more 'moderate' Muslims tend to be very quiet on the serious issues about their faith, the actions of their brothers and sisters, and their intentions when it comes to making the rest of the world part of the Caliphate.

I don't trust it. It doesn't trust me. And I don't want it, frankly. :)

(for clarification; I don't care what you believe in your home, in your mind, fairies, Allah, Jesus, Thor, whatever. Just do not impose it upon me. I'm sick of the whole 'offending' business. I'm offended when I have to see yet another example of ignorant violence, or preaching, or threats. I don't respond with violence to being offended, don't I get credit for that? Don't all of us? If you want to believe in something, that's fine, but I will not have it imposed on me, and I don't care if I offend you. Offending people, satire and such are an integral part of freedom and free speech, it has been for a long time, it has it's foundings in ancient Greece, the birthplace of Democracy. And as such, while I don't intend to offend, if I do, then so be it.)

Many 'normal' Muslims come out and speak against the fanatics when they inevitably do something stupid!

Most "moderate" white people are very quiet about the actions of their "extreme brothers and sisters", and so on.

It's called Taqiyya. Many 'moderate' muslims will say one thing in English to appease the liberal western media, and something completely different in arabic to their followers.
 
If only all religion could be wiped off the face of the planet with every human being just living their life by the ethos of "don't be a ****", the world would be a better place in all honesty.

Then again, what did I expect in a men's forum? I wonder if people here have daughters or how would they feel if this happened to their wives. I suspect most of you didn't even read the article, I might be old fashioned, but if some gang raped my wife or daughter because she wasn't wearing a burka therefore asking for it, I'd go on a serious killing spree,and I'm not talking about League of Legends either.

What's next, stoning women? Let's all just go back to the Dark Ages and live like they do in the Middle East. Why don't we open all our doors, just in case people brand us as racists, we wouldn't want that, let's conform to their society which is clearly more advanced and not blind by religion rather than them adapting to our rules and views in our Continent. By the way, did you guys know that in some countries like India or Pakistan, they apparently have 0 rape? It's so normal over there that it's not even reported. Maybe we can get that over here, we'll teach those non-wearing burka women! Right? That's what liberals want, right? I wonder how much more advanced the world would be if women had not been so oppressed for thousands of years, but clearly these superior people clearly know better and we should just let them do whatever they want in our Continent, you know, it's not like our ancestors didn't fight for thousands of years to achieve democracy and peace, let's throw all that away.

This topic makes me mad :mad:
