Never played an AC before, will I miss much if I jump straight in to 3? Or totally different storyline?

Well been playing this for the last 2 days, I'm really enjoying it, for anyone that's used to just exploring the massive open world will feel a little bit disappointed until it opens up later on.
But as soon as it does open up its amazing, so much to do so many little things to find its awesome!
Before anyone asks I was lucky enough to get a copy from my local tescos as they seemed not to realise that it wasn't out yet!

how does it compare to AC2,ACB and ACR?

Definitely better than revelations and brotherhood. So far it's about on par with ac2, there's some very interesting things that they've done with this game. Including both gameplay decisions and also story line.
Still loving the fact that John de Lancie voices Desmond's dad.

ah good, a big concern of mine was that, us Brits would be the villains of the game with the US being the saviors of the story, without spoilers, is that how it is panning out?
Decided to cancel my pre-order for this, will wait till i finish some games i have got as i havent got the time. At the moment i have Forza horizon then i have Halo 4 coming and COD Black Ops 2 as well.
Plus i want to get my hands on Dishonoured at some point and also the new NFS game as well.

Want to play this, but they are having a laugh if they think I'm paying £40, especially with how quickly prices go down in the UK, especially Ubisoft titles. They are charging the same for the Vita version too which I also want.
that deal is really good, I used to like Empire a couple of years ago, some questionnable ratings / reviews aside.
Stuck it on my lovefilm to chance my arm and it's being sent out today
First game I've played for months.
There is an online co-op wolf pack mode now in the mp. Shame deano is dead or we could have whored it up

According ti reviews its very slow to get going but once its there it gets much better! Picking up at weekend!
