Does this happen to you when your children have moved out or before you have children? Getting grumpy n' all.

I used to be grumpy like this until my son was born.

Saying that... the hours between 4 and 8 ill open the door, after that its all adolescent kids, they can go **** for their sweets and ill be playing Guild Wars 2 by then.

Have no kids.

I will definitely take part with my own child, absolutely, but I couldn't care less about other people's children and whether they want sweets or not.

I freaking love Halloween, but no one in my area does! That's what I get for living in a grotty London borough.

We gave them an Apple each one year, and they never bothered coming back the next year .

My parents do that any way as we're Welsh so its traditional, if their away though I usually just give them chocolate (and usually gone off stuff )

what is even more insulting is when the kids don't make an effort to dress up and they come begging for sweets. Then I tell them to do one - even if they are accompanied by their parents.

The good thing is that I live on the edge of town up a long hill which deters them from visiting.

The mrs asked me to pick up some mini Twix and milky button packs in case we get trick or treaters.

Totally this. I've only ever known girls suggest "we" buy chocolate for "Halloween".

Bit grumpy with all this, but we never get any bother, they can't get to mine or my parents house, didn't stop me stocking up on 1,000 water baloons though.
