Are we losing this country?

You're talking as if these countries are individual people or personas. The world is just a huge bunch of people trying to get on in life. There is no master plan. Even the dirty immigrants stealin ur jaaaabs

Not aware I was targeting individuals. These countries buy companies that exist and manufacturer in the UK and leave them here. The point is control and profit.

The problem we have is when times get tough as they are now they tend to take their money home. Look at Ford now which is in a diabolic financial crisis. The next will be BMW with the Mini as the German car industry will feel the the pinch. BAE was gonna sell out to the Germans and the French mainly Government owned EAD. I bet a majority of job losses would have been UK if that had happened.

We are far to eager to bend over and take it in my opinion.

Face it we have a rubbish national side in Football, we have never won the Euro cup never.

I wasn't aware that the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland had ever fielded a team in the European Cup so it's not surprising that we haven't won it.

Immigration has both positives and negatives, it s far to simplistic to say it is good or bad.

What i'm saying is that everything has caused it if you look at my post, MPs expense issues, that have come back again, companies not paying tax like Kraft pays 4.2% , Intel pays just 2%, Coca Cola pays 13%, Google 3% etc.. pay income tax on it's profits, while people pay a greater percent in tax.

Housing should be only an asset that a UK national can hold, Just like in Hong Kong now.

If you don’t work you should not be allowed to live in this country if you’re not born here, if your job has ended you can stay longer than month in the UK that should be law.

So your saying that immigrants are beter than the British? so we need to rely on them to help us out of this mess?

Quite a few are.

And if the countries where these immigrants come from bought more of our things that could potentially help us out of this mess.

Just an example, we need to understand that we are no longer a nation that was ahead of all other nations, we have become an average nation now.

I do t think you have any idea exactly what an average country is........it certainly isn't one as rich, safe and progressive as the UK.

I was hoping for a interesting thread.

Does not deliver.

However, I believe (unless they turn dystopic) the emerging super-economies will eventually have to start paying wages before their populaces start revolting (sad really how predictable we are, history doesn't lie here).

China has already started this, especially with their new leaders, I am unsure about India at the moment, but due to its democratic style being so obviously corrupted, i think that should eventually sort itself out.

Unfortunately growth is no longer possible in the UK, our only advantages are being stifled by morons in Whitehall and the EU, we could be cutting flying times and cargo times around the world by 5 times, so irritating.

We can no longer rely on corporate tax, not that its ever done much but annoy small business and be a minor nuisance to larger ones.

We have to face the fact that we are a becoming exactly like Japan, which is not good because if anyone has been reading the news lately their major technology firms are all going downwards.

The only net export we seem to do is education, which is fine...but we seriously need to improve how many people can be taught.

What makes all this worse is the fact that our most precious resource is not infinite.

Rich, this country is it debt up to its neck, safe it’s not safe, progressive it’s become regressive.

Let me see we are the country that owes more money than any other country per head, we have no resources, we no longer make goods, we have too many laws that are not needed, we have a government that allows companies to milk the state for their benefits, we have a nation that is broken, a nation that does not see that this country is broke, a nation that can't afford a home, a nation that restricts your chances of becoming great etc... the list just goes on.

Sony etc.. are companies that will not be here in 20 years, Japan possibly.

So your world view is whoever won the world cup last is the besterest country on Earth and everyone else is average? oh and no more brownies ofc :p

Go and visit some other countries around the world, particularly the developing ones and then make an opinion, because your rhetoric is pretty standard fare for those whose experience of other countries is limited to Wish You Were Here or watching Hawaii 5-O on the TV.
