I Thought PC GAMES were cheaper RANT

Cheaper games aren't a good reason to play on PC. The real reason is because you become part of the Master Race, and if you don't understand that, then you're probably not worthy in the first place :D

OK.. obviously your main rage should be about Origin/E.A. and not about PC Game prices.

Do NOT bother with MoH:WF. BF3 is FAARRRRR superior, and there is a sale on that with Origin at the moment. Although.. because I have BF3 premium, I got the Digitial Deluxe version of MoH:WF for half price (£25).

I understand the rage.. but it's wrongly directed.

Necromancer be gone!

I don't think i've ever spent more than £30 on a PC game, and it's my personal policy not to - I either shop around or wait for the price to fall.

Also I generally don't buy EA games as they're soulless, buggy, unfinished heaps of junk and that's before I get to Origin. :p

there is a certain site that will compare prices for all the major sites, i am not allowed to tell you, just search google and you will find it starts with F and ends in E :P

I've only skimmed over the thread quite quickly, so forgive me if it has been said before.

Why do you assume PC games must be cheaper on the PC? Let's be realistic here, more work generally goes in to a PC game than a console variant, so if anything it should be more expensive, right?

Why do you act as if the "PC gaming industry" owes you a "cheaper" game than consoles?

Sure, generally PC games that aren't EA or Activision AAA titles are cheaper, but they don't need to be, and you'd be deluded to disagree with that.

i just bought borderlands 2 for £11.89 and you can find games very cheap u just ACTUALLY HAVE TO LOOK.

the daily deal thread is a good start.....

Oh dear, golden.

I built a PC so I could save £5-£10 everytime I buy a new game, but I wont bother looking around to make them cheaper i'll just moan about the price it is on Origin - cause Origin is always the cheapest and best place to go. :D

That's also the most retarded reason for spending £600 upwards building a rig, Take a lot of games to make it worth while if that's why you are doing it.

I haven't spent more than ~£30 on a game since I got good at the internet. You're doing it wrong.

Other than my first few games (COD4 - £25, L4D1 - £13.50, L4D2 - £20) I haven't spent more than £12.50 on a game and more recently haven't spent more than £7.50 on a game. Go Steam sales!

Gotta be pretty retarded to pay over £20 for a PC game these days.

I did pay £24 for Skyrim and Shogun 2 when they were released, but these two were special to me and I actually wanted the box editions of the games. Plus they both activated on Steam anyway.

Battlefield 3 (Premium Edition) was a little over that too, but that was a failed purchase.

Other than that, most of my games bought in the past few years are from sales or cost around £10 at most.

I moved to Australia in April and will be shipping my games rig etc over, but by jebus i am not buying any more games here. $80 - $100 a bloody game.

console £300
PC £800
difference £500
game price difference £10
Purchase 1 game a month for 4 years and you break even....

then then PC will need upgrading / replacing....

I'm off to buy a new Prius to save on fuel...

Your example is awful.

You don't *have* to spend £800 on a PC. You can get a PC that'll play games very well for under £500.

What about the display for the games console?

A PC has more uses than just games, looking at its entire price compared to a console is disingenuous.

Your argument reads like you're comparing the price of a scientific calculator to a smart phone just because smartphones have scientific calculators built in.

@ThatAsianGuy

If you don't like the prices buddy sell your rig and go play farm ville or something.

Why do people always complain about the price of luxury goods? Its the price it is and that's that.

Wassup forum i dont normally post forum rants but when I do its for a good reason.

This section will be in cap locks to express my anger and feels.

IM IN THE MIDDLE OF BUILDING MY GAMING RIG AND ONE MAIN REASON FOR MAKING THE SWITCH FROM CONSOLES WAS GAMES WHERE CHEAPER.

WRONG OH BOY WAS I WRONG. EA ARE CHARGING £50 FRIGGIN QUID FOR WARFIGHTER "DIGITAL DELUX VERSON" AND THE "LIMITED" EDITION IS 39.99. OH AND BOTH VERSIONS ARE DIGITAL DOWNLOAD ONLY, SO WHY IS IT SAME PRICE AS CONSOLES IT SHOULD BE CHEEAAAAAPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Borderlands 2 is 30.00 on steam which is what I expecy all AAA games priced at on the PC. Any of you gusy feel the same way,

one more thing why dosent EA give us the option just to buy the game on its own?

EDIT: I did buy BF3 PREMUIM EDITION today from GAME for £32 including all the DLC and game, IT SHOULD BE LIKE THAT, in my honest opnion i think AAA titles on the PC should be £20-£25 digital copys oh and the BF3 premuim copy was also a hard disc, so how is it that its more expensive on ORIGIN for digital download?
RANT OVER

BF3 Premium Edition is £22 on Origin atm. Or it was at least.

get console play on PC monitor and see how bad console games really are
its really shocking how much a lot of games get away with on a TV :)

on another note as people say look out for deals don't buy on day one I have been after risen 2 for a while now and the other week I got it and all dlc from steam for 14.99 I think it was
Were the game in any store has been 25pound since it came out with no dlc :)

Use other places to buy games I like steam but you can get steam games from other websites and just add them to your steam account like Greenmangaming who are doing 20% off all downloaded games atm using the code on there site.
Just look at the requirements its will say Needs free software Steam or Origin which means just add the code to it.
