Fanboy comments?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
a stock / superclocks (factory) 7950 will score less than a stock / superclocked (factory) 680.

No one is making any fanboy comments, they are simply posting their own experience with their own GPU as is normal on an enthusiasts forum.
They are allowed to do that![]()
Well, in all honesty, my 7950 @1150/1400 scores about 2000.
A good memory clock would beef that score up as I'm sure you've found![]()
Kinda-ish...I was talking to RustyKinda-ish...
I couldn't really give a monkeys about benchmarking either tbh. It's just nice to know where your rig sits in comparison and if it's working right.
Like I said, glad you're happy with it. Despite all the blahblahing and latest driver this n that, the 680 never stopped being a great card.
Wrong. That's your experience but don't pass it off as general fact. nVidia cards don't work all the time neither do AMD cards work all the time. The failure rate (bar a dodgy batch from a partner) are similar.
If you're going to post bias remarks then at least state that your comments are bias rather than trying to pass them off as fact.
Other than poor or no SLi performance I have never had a problem with a non-faulty nVidia card in any game or application.
FACT.

I got 2215 ish on a 1250/1700 run I think. Way too hot and loud to run 24/7 though![]()

A bit of fun
Heres the slowest err GTX 680 with no access to voltage tweaks, waterblocks or anything else apart from asus GPU tweak.

It might not be the greatest score, but im happy.![]()
.
Pic shows Gtx 690 though.
I kinda had an opposite experience of OP. Crappy EVGA 670 FTW, return then hop on a nice 7970 Lightning deal (cost ~the same as the 670). Just enjoy gaming and forgot all about those silly benches![]()
Thats why its the slowest GTX 680 its only half a GTX 690 running with SLI disabled.
