Require advice on new PC

Yeah, is that what you are using?

Yea sorry I thought that was clear when I posted the screenshot of my CPUZ/CoreTemp (in the same fashion you did).

Unfortunately I couldn't manage to RAID 0, I had some Windows SetUp error after loading the driver saying something about my bios had a setting disabling, Worked fine on non raid though.

I cant see a picture from you, just my quoted post.

Edit.. on closer inspection there is something in that post, here - http://s10.postimage.org/f6gsx6rvb/CPUZCore_Temp.png - is the H100 fitted to the socket evenly on each corner?

As for the RAID, did you set the SATA controller to RAID?

Yes, I also created the Raid Volume, which (of Both the Vertex 4's) 128KB Block.

in Windows 7 Setup: Loaded Raid Driver -> New Volume -> Format. and the message "Windows Cannot install onto this drive"

I'll google it i guess. :)

Fit the 3TB to a different coloured port, but after the install to stop windows installation doing something dumb and placing files onto it.

Fit the SSD's to both white ones (these are intel SATAIII)

So hopefully now get everything setup/installed etc and then add the HDD after.

Two things A) there was a problem when installing windows on RAID 0 and having the 3TB hard Drive connected.(Raid on Intel, 3TB on Marvell).

Tried again just now without the 3TB HardDrive... Error below:

Windows: Windows is unable to install to the selected location. Error: 0×80300001

Well… all these years of development and Microsoft still can’t get the installation part right. Not too surprising… huh?

If you have a storage controller or using motherboard RAID, it’s quite possible that you see this error message after loading the drivers. This could happen on systems with a single CD drive and It’s also likely to happen if you are installing storage drivers from a USB flash drive.

If your driver CD is still in the drive (or USB drive) and Windows CD out on your desk, you won’t be notified properly. Instead, you will see the above error message which was very frustrating in my case. Remember to replace the driver CD with Windows, wait until you hear it spin and then you will notice the Next button is no longer grayed out. It is not safe to assume that Windows would give you a hint. I wonder how much the missing error message was going to cost Microsoft that they decided not to add it.

Frustrating… very unprofessional of Microsoft to say the least.

Utlimately after RE-INSERTING the disk after loading the drivers and formatting the drive) did the error disappear and i was able install :)

cheers for the help. All should be good from now.

Glad I reinstalled, I think I accidentally set the SDD to IDE mode, Now I'm on the desktop in RAID 0 and just finishing up some Windows Updates, I have now enabled the 3TB HDD with all 3TBs.

then I shall do the bench testing.

Also I plugged in a case Fan so that can only help ;)

Results all around, Expect the Bechmarks within 20 minutes or so (Programs already downloaded.)

Once again thanks for the assistance :)

Updates were still going, but it shouldn't impact it much anyway.

As for the firmware update, you obviously need to do it for both drives and I'm not sure it can do it with them in raid.

Sounds like a right pain, but you may have to do it per drive.
