I still use a floppy drive....

only in collage, in the 90's and they were outdated then!

Not had a floppy drive in a pc for.... 6 years, or something like that - havn't actually used one since windows 3.11 days.
 
i went to fit a computer for a client the other day

she told me she didnt like these new USB things, as they were too fiddly

she said "i much prefer these, much easier" and pulls out a box of floppy discs :D
 
I use one as have a Yamaha Piano with a built in floppy drive in it for MIDI files. So need one to transfer files across.

Although I am tempted with one of these USB to floppy emulators.
 
I've still got a disc with ACHI drivers (I think) from a build about 5 years ago but I've haven't had a drive in maybe 10 tens years as a guess.

I remember having to buy a Zip drive and disks for uni as CAD files and rendered models were too big for floppys.

As for floppys themselves not used one for god knows how long.
