People have tried Orange and they said you need to be using the phone with an Orange sim for three months before they'll do it and then it'll cost about £20 and can take another month before it's actually unlocked.

Yeah its Nokia man! They are built so solid and the gorilla glass is what adds to the weight.

I may get the Nokia Case Stand for watching stuff on the train when I don't have my iPad but in no way do I think the phone needs any kind of protection for normal use.

If you really abuse your phones and are prone to dropping them then I guess a case is always a good idea but I don't like the extra bulk in my pocket.

Noooooooooo!!!!! I'm going to punch the tmob rep down the phone line if they say that to my wife.
 
I had a play with one in P4U today. Really nice device and really refreshing to use.
I think I may end up getting one once all this sim-lock rubbish has been worked out.

What if you take a sim card that you've been using for 3+ months and use that in the phone? Or does the clock start from when you bought the phone? Or when it was released? How do they know?
 
well I've flashed something. Phone's booting now :/

Ok i'm back into Windows & my keyboard now has a language selector that wasn't there before...

Ok good news & bad news...

Good news:

I've not bricked the phone & I'm now running "stock" 920 firmware. :cool:

Bad news:
Still SIM locked, it wont read my Three SIM :(

(rather relieved not to have ruined my shiny new toy mind :eek:)
 
What issues are you getting? I am finding the push notifications are slow.

Notifications are slow and when they do arrive if you miss the toast notification you have no idea what they are. Sure, there's a number relating to the notifications on the live tile, but you click the live tile...then what? Doesn't tell you anything about the outstanding notifications, so i have to manually search for them through all my recent activity. Also struggling to 'like' statuses.

Hit the notifications top right - pain in the bum but works.

It needs 'work' does this app.

EDIT: Or go to 'Me' and view notifications.
