I have a situation with an ex business partner, he's visiting my website and copying it. We had a disagreement and I pulled out from the partnership, website was mine we didn't formalise the business relationship. He tried to screw me over by withholding my money. I decided to split and take my website and marketing resources with me.

Now he's got his employees rto clone my site. I blocked their IPs and forwarded to a gay website. (they're very conservative, homophobic type). The actually website was very unscrupulous, basically locks you onto the website with 1000+ promtss that you have to 'OK' and is right in the middle of a porno.

The next day after setting it up, I got a really angry call from one of his employees. The employee should not have my private phone number, the business owner gave my phone number to the employee without getting permission, he is the kid that will leak my home address to his employee [read: henchmen]. He basically threatened to "come down with boys and beat me up". I didn't take the threats too seriously, but now that I think about it they might just do it. I want to report it to the police in case anytging does happen in future then the police will have a solid record of this incident.

I'd like to know if I've broken the law by redirecting them to the gay website. You REALY REALLY SHould NOT visit the website. But if you really must know what website is it its
Code:
[COLOR="Yellow"]just no - seriously just no[/COLOR]
I'm going to go asnd report it to a police station and some point

it probably isn't going to stop them from copyin the website, but it's a good eff you and a good message to send to them that I know what they're doing.

plus it's not a serious threat at all, my website has authority and an established reputation. Theirs doesn't. They can recreate the website but they can't get the authority and google traffic.

p.p.s. I wasn't supposed to know about them copying my website, but they cc'd me into an email by accident. They were backchatting about me and talkin about how they're going to take my business. LOL

Yes a website which redirects users to meatspin with a certain IP oozes, absolutely oozes a good authority and reputation.

Act like a professional!

well it's a PR3, not pandalized or penguinized or emdized. It's sits very hight in SERPS. Getting it to #1 hopefully. Theirs is a virgin website, have no clue abotu seo and will probably hire indian spammers to blast their site to page 60.

When I say authority and reputation. I'm talking in the SEO sense.

It's not illegal.

thanks. how certain are you though. If i got to the nick and tell them I forwarded their ip to meatspin, they may not have enough evidence to arrest them but the police will have enough "confession" to arrest me on the spot. So have to be 100%. I don't want to bend the truth either in case it bites me in the ass later in court.

Keep it classy OP, you're a nice guy who doesn't afraid of anything!

iphone doesn't allow recording which is stupid, all iOS apps and even Google voice app has been removed from the istore, they're an American company so anything illegal in America is illegal everywhere for them I guess.. gone are the days of the nokia and sony ericsson i guess.
