Which Jobs Pay Well But Aren't Too Demanding?

I have a pretty good pension from the Navy, I used to earn a very high salary in my previous occupation and my Wife earns a significant salary....eventually the earning potential is pretty good, but currently the project I am on combines my Phd study so all in all is pretty good and I am building a professional reputation and body of work so when I move on to a new project I can (hopefully) write my own ticket although Money isn't my motivating factor anymore, if it were I would have remained in my last position. Life's too short just to accumulate money.

Ah, makes sense, well good luck :)

They used to but apparently not as well as they did.

I think the old council contracts have slowly been eroded by agency workers and new terms imposed on new workers.....a couple of chaps I know on the bins earn totally different wages even though they do the same job in the same vehicle, the younger earns just over 18k compared to the almost £25k of the long serviceman. Neither are paid well in my opinion, its a pretty horrible job.

Sorry - missed a transaction there.

For a while I thought King Damager was trying to get one over on our hero with respect to his income. Chafing at the bit - sorry.

I'm a student :p My income is non-existent...

Oh no, I lie, I forgot the £7.50/hr for the four hour shifts I do 5 times a year, and the behavioural economic studies with payouts between £2 and £17 for an hour with similar frequency :p

No, I was just genuinely curious knowing he was in some kind of PhD scenario.

You could always roll the dice and join the armed forces. If you get the right post you can get paid to do pretty much nothing at all, with insanely massive perks in the form of cheap accomodation, zero bills and pretty good value meals.

Then again, if you aren't quite so lucky you will have the most demanding job ever and be overworked to within an inch of your life.

You would probably need loaded dice......

Because that is what will likely happen.

unless you join the RAF of course...:p

Be glad your parents can support your activities.

Not all can.

I could be entirely on a grant. Whether I am or not is entirely here nor there, but not something I'd disclose. But it's possible :p

Some of us think that that is loads. :(

Don't do too much :(

I can't remember which, but £30k put's you in either the top 25% or top 50% of earners. I'm pretty sure it's the prior.
