How many of those 20 million would have got it on PC had it came out at the same time? There are a lot of people who are multi platform. On top of that; GTA IV is notoriously badly coded for the PC, which no doubt put a lot of sales off. If GTA IV ran well and came out the same time as it did on consoles, it would have been more like 6-7 mill PC, 13-14 mill 360/Ps3. 2 million is bloody good as nobody would have cared about it 6 months post release.

Then what's wrong with these people? Even porting red dead over to PC would have turned a profit, why don't they want money

Well its a bizare thing if it was for financial reason as people have explained why for financial reasons alone, they should release gta5 on the pc.

What was max payne 3's sales figures on pc? i heard it sold pretty well on the PC platform.

Its all ifs or buts though but the fact still remains.

Rockstar are not releasing this game on PC at this moment in time.

Until they say they do, we should in truth expect that it may not ever come out on the PC.

Yes Rockstar have released past GTA games on pc's but there is a first for everything.

Nothing in life is as simple as that
 
I didn't think Max Payne really sold that well on any platform.

In the end it's all speculation. None of us know the full details so you can but speculate how well it would sell on PC if it was released at the same time.

Rockstar are not announcing the PC release....same as they didn't for 4. It will follow in 6 months or so, I am pretty confident. All their recent games bar one have been released on PC. I can think of no reason they would suddenly decide to not release their biggest IP on PC.

GTA IV has been on steam for years, but good luck ever getting any numbers from Gabe & the gang.
