Yep, from Clove, surface works as you think it would on a PC, this is where ( although limits) desktop explorer comes into its own, you can properly navigae the phones memory and drag drop, cope paste music, photos etc.

Ohh yea, and word documents lol.

Phone is only with for for a small amount of time.

Firstly...weight...its a non issue, more weighty that the others, but when the others are what I think as TOO light, this is fine. Using it for a bit my hands dont tired or anything stuppid. And it feels sturdy, and really comfortable in the hands when using it in landscape for typing etc.

The screen amazing, all very quick fast etc, the camera has been talked about to death but getting similar results.
The movie recording and IOS is brilliant, really noticeable just how much it does for your shake..

Also very glad I got white, looks the part, but coming from the L800 it does seem "large", but nothing im worried about.

Will type more as I go along discovering thing between the two.

Thanks for the info cu3ed! Guess I'll be discovering more myself in the weekend! (hopefully!) What do you think of the maps?

I have used Drive Nav and maps on the 800 for over a year, far far better than anything I have used that is based for Phone use, VERY detailed and much better thought out ( true off line use etc), for when you are on the move.

Also...dear god but the loudspeakers are ...well...LOUD....trying a ringtone it near flew out of my hands lol.

Andy: can you clone the firmware and see if it works on other 920s which are network locked?

I don't think that will help, you can download the exact firmware he is on through navifirm or nokia care suite. A few guys on here have flashed multiple different firm ware and it remains sim locked.

Was going to go for the £399 payg deal at EE but some one has mentioned that my tmobile sim would not work in it due to it being locked to Orange.

I guess this is the point where I just give up trying to get this handset.

well i got the one from p4u and used my tmobile (not ee) sim and worked

I'll ask this though, is their a way to get the apps or a list of what you previously downloaded/ paid for?

There wasn't on WP7.5, proper pain in the ass! Apps you have installed etc, still show in the WP Store as well.

EE locked phones work with EE, T-Mobile, Orange and Virgin Mobile.

I still think somebody needs to try and change the name of the "NWP8_simlock_3gstandard_bb5_crcA59A" in the default firmware image to the EE name and then change the reference in "RM821_059R1W4_1232.2110.1244.3011_094.vpl" I am sure it is not this easy but you never know. I am just not brave enough to do it, plus I can't get these bloody drivers sorted.

You can see it from the windowsphone website then go to my apps it has a complete history.
