An old chap last night at a local working mens club had a bit of a crash.

Not entirely sure of the circumstances other than no one was seriously injured.

Looks like he missed the lamp post outside... I call double points.

To be honest Trumpton are pretty much guaranteed to whip the top off if there's *any* remote difficulty in extracting the casualty and if there is spinal damage suspected.
If you are involved in an RTC and can't easily get out, say goodbye to the roof of your car ;)

Not necessarily. They would have done it for precaution, especially if it was an elderly gent. Take the roof off and use a spinal board. No one wants to be unnecessarily paralysed!
 
Throttle prob stuck open, old man had somthing similar here in town as he wiped out two people before crashing into a row of parked cars and a shop.

I didn't see it but I did see the aftermath and i thought of t hat straight away, sure enough it was reported in the paper the day after.

Either that or was he dd?

I doubt the throttle is stuck open in any of these cases, more so the doddery old person mashed the wrong pedal.
