New Myspace - Coming Soon

Not sure if you meant the design is crowded, or the social media space is crowded, both would appear correct.

Why won't Justin timberlake just sell it or scrap it. This will never catch on, those who say it looks like tumblr have tumblr already, we really don't need another way to network!

Good find though :)

'New Myspace'? That's like saying 'here's the new broken leg, would you like one?'

Oh, I see it's a lame attempt to copy Google+ and make people think Myspace is for people over the age of 13. Good luck with that.

It looks nice and refreshing, but I can't be arsed to move over from Facebook - and I think that will be the attitude of most people to be honest.

If it works it might be a natural split where people over time will have accounts n one day they may just delete other accounts.

The thing is that all social networking works today no matter what company they are.

imo facebook is losing popularity so this has no hope of becoming as big without something to keep it unique like 'free music downloads to whoever uses this site'

i know facebook users are growing but i get the impression from everyone who uses it that they just make a few status updates at best, no where near like they used to and that's it, where as before they'd be on it more often, playing games etc.

it's still useful for one off big events but in general most people i'd say have realised it gets very boring ready the same crappy status updates about nothing in particular.

They dropped the ball some years back and I don't think they'll ever get even have half of what they had before no matter what they try. Most folk are just happy to stay on Facebook, the thought of setting up again and inviting all your 100s of 'friends' again is too much for most.
Cleaner look than before though, bit of a Win8-esque feel to it with the tiles and horizontal scroll.

Looks alright. I don't want to say "no one will ever use it, we have Facebook" because everyone probably said that when Facebook first came out and look where we are now. :p

Like you have said in a roundabout way, Facebook hasn't lost popularity.

I to have noticed that people don't perhaps post as frequent status updates as they used to about anything, at least most with a braincell anyways. I think the reason for that is the simple fact that people are far more aware of social media and the fact that what you post goes out to all your friends. These days, its likely that a lot of your 'friends' aren't just friends, they probably include family, colleagues, perhaps even your boss.

Gaming has died somewhat because they chose to stamp it out when they realised that Facebook was becoming cluttered with too many apps that were a nuisance, it was becoming like Myspace and less about what it originally was. The majority of games were all 'Facebook Games' like Farmville, which have been played to death and I believe some must have finally noticed that everybody can see what they are up to. For example I remember a girl I once worked with who had comments from our boss about how her auto updates were constantly about her playing a game.

I'd also add that many people like Twitter for posting basic status updates about goings on now, I know I do.
