*** Official Planetside 2 Thread ***

The lag was appalling last night, made the game unplayable on Miller. Rerolled on one of the other EU servers and it was fine so going to have to grit my teeth waiting for Miller to calm down as thats where ive spent all my cash. Got a couple of friend invites, shout when on, the in-game vox sucks monkey nuts by the way.
 
I forgot to add as well - anyone playing on a CrossFire setup?

I'm running 2 7970's overclocked - in CrossFire on the latest Beta 8 and CAPS 12.11 I get absolutely shocking performance.

As soon as I disable CrossFire the lag goes away, so I guess it's 100% not optimized as I get a ridiculous amount of lag with CrossFire on, yet without it it's absolutely perfect!

Looks like I'll be running solo for now.

The overall game isn't to bad if you know where your going, played on a High EU server yesterday on class TR there was about 40+ people attacking NC. tanks, Aircraft and Artillery people running on foot attacking waypoints this was an epic battle untill..

The game stop responding........why release a game that's half finished obviously there are memory leaks and major bugs that make me not want to play. you have about 50% chance the game will run smoothly otherwise be prepared to see CTD every 5-20 mins.

Sounds like a real blast. Do remember to get up and stretch ur legs every couple of hours at least. Blood clots can hit ppl at any age if u sit in same position for to long.
 
You need to join an outfit to experience what Planetside is actually about.

I'm only playing with a few friends at the moment, but we came across a PlanetSide outfit - they had 30+ Prowlers and we decided to follow them, and that battle was just insane.
 
Just got high velocity rounds for my sva 88. My god, its like a sniper on steroids! Just need a x6 scope, i got a x2 holo scope which is excellent for close combat.
 
Can anyone tell me how you actually take over areas? We seem to be fighting in some area for ages and I'm not too sure what we're supposed to be aiming for.
 
Is this game more gpu or cpu limited?

I have a pretty aging 775 system and was wondering if a graphics upgrade would give me a boost in fps.
